Mielle shampoo comes from a brand that Monique Rodriguez launched in 2014 as a registered nurse with a kitchen vision. Here are the four Mielle bottles I would look at first, the rosemary and scalp-care washes from other brands, and the oils and serums that follow.

A Nurse, a Kitchen Table and Mielle Shampoo: How One Founder Built a Hair Empire
Mielle was created by Monique Rodriguez, a registered nurse, and launched in 2014. It grew from a kitchen vision to a brand sold in more than 87 countries and over 100,000 stores in the US. That is an unusual arc for a hair brand, and it has always felt to me like it comes from someone who paid attention to what her own hair wanted, not what a boardroom thought it should want.
The story kept moving. In January 2023, P&G agreed to acquire Mielle, and Monique and her husband Melvin stayed on as CEO and COO. Before P&G came along, it reportedly took nine-figure backing from Berkshire Partners, which tells you how much attention it was getting. None of that would matter if the bottles did not do their job on wash day, so let me tell you how I read them.
Every Mielle shampoo shown in the grid is named for its main botanical. The Rosemary Mint Strengthening Shampoo is the one I would start with. The Pomegranate and Honey Detangling Shampoo is for hair that knots easily. The Lavender and Lychee Scalp Moisturizing Shampoo is made for the scalp, and the Babassu and Mint Damage Repair Shampoo is aimed at hair that feels damaged.
If you are new to mielle shampoo, pick by the concern you notice first, then use it for a few weeks. Shampoo works best when your effort goes to the scalp, so keep the lather at the roots and let the rinse water carry it down the lengths. For tightly coiled hair, wash in sections, which keeps strands from tangling into each other.

Scalp-care washes to sit beside them
Scalp care is having a moment, and I think it is a good one. A clean, comfortable scalp is where everything starts, and the washes in this group are made with that in mind.
BondiBoost's HG Shampoo for Thinning Hair with Rosemary is the closest match to the Mielle rosemary idea. Nécessaire's The Shampoo is a scalp cleanse with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, made for thinning hair. Vegamour's GRO Revitalizing Shampoo is another one made for thinning hair. Kérastase's Genesis Strengthening Shampoo is made for normal to oily hair, so it is the tidy option if roots get greasy by the second day.
OUAI's Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is for visible flakes, and I would keep it as a rotation shampoo rather than an everyday one. Ceremonia's Aceite de Moska is a pre-shampoo scalp and hair oil, meant to go on before you wash, which makes it a nice weekend ritual.
Massage the scalp with the pads of your fingers, not your nails, for a full minute. It helps distribute the shampoo, and it feels like a small reward for a Sunday. Rinse for longer than you think you need to, because leftover shampoo on the scalp can leave it feeling itchy.

Oils and serums for after the wash
Once the scalp is clean, oils and serums are how I keep it comfortable and the lengths soft. I use them in one of two ways: before washing, as a pre-wash oil, or after, as a light serum.
Act+Acre's Cold Processed Scalp Detox Oil is for a dry scalp, and it is the plain, quiet choice. Briogeo's Scalp Revival Rosemary Pre-Wash Oil is a scalp and hair oil that goes on before shampoo, so the rosemary theme continues. JVN's Complete Pre-Wash Scalp and Hair Strengthening Treatment Oil follows the same pre-wash idea. BondiBoost's HG Lock Drops is a daily serum with rosemary, made for thinning hair.
Caudalie's Hair Density Serum is for all types of hair thinning, with soothing peptides. Kérastase's Chronologiste Overnight Youth Serum is aimed at dry, thin, aging hair, and it is a nice bedtime one for the ends.
What I would skip: leaving heavy oil on the scalp overnight if your hair gets greasy easily, and using more than a few drops at a time. Too much oil makes roots flat and can leave shampoo working harder than it should. Start with three or four drops, part your hair in sections, and press it in with the pads of your fingers. Keep a clean hair tie and a soft towel nearby so the oil does not end up on your pillow.

Building a routine around your scalp
I would keep the routine small: a shampoo suited to your scalp, one oil or serum, and a weekly scalp massage. Change one thing at a time and give it three or four weeks.
Watch for how the scalp feels by the third day, not the first. If it stays comfortable, you have found something. If it itches, flakes or stings, stop the newest product first. Persistent shedding, patches of thinning or an irritated scalp deserve a visit to a doctor, since no bottle can tell you why it is happening. Products can keep things pleasant, and a professional can tell you what is really going on. Write down the date you start each new product, so you can look back and see what you changed. Take photos in the same light every month, at the same parting, and keep them in one folder, because slow changes are easy to miss, and that record is useful to show whoever you see.
