All Things Slacks

A collection of slacks and dress pants for the office, dinners and every day in between. Wide legs, pleats and bias cuts in black, cream, grey and navy.

Good slacks do more work than almost anything else in my closet. I look for a high waist, a clean break at the shoe and fabric that hangs instead of clings. The Favorite Daughter pleated pants in cream are my pick when I want a soft, easy shape, and Helmut Lang's straight black trouser is the pair I reach for when I need to look pulled together fast.

 

For colder days I like wool, like the Theory classic straight trousers in charcoal or the Tropical Wool Colby from La Ligne, both of which look sharp with a plain knit and loafers. Vince makes a bias pant that moves nicely, and Nili Lotan's Shon in midnight is a good one to wear with a crisp white shirt. Hem them to just touch the top of your shoe and you are done.
