AMOR MIA is a women-owned Bali label for dresses, swimwear and tops that are sheer, close to the body and a little dramatic. I like how romantic it is, and how much patience the studio asks for in return.

AMOR MIA Dresses: What's Worth Your Money

Made to order in Bali
I will admit I am drawn to clothes that look like they have a secret, and AMOR MIA has plenty of them. It is a women-owned label that started in 2023, and everything is made to order and handcrafted in its Bali studio. Most pieces take about a week to make, which is a slow pace for dresses this seductive (and I kind of love the contrast).
The mood is hyper-feminine and playfully seductive: sheer and body-hugging fabrics, intricate details, classic shapes with a modern twist. Its Soft Power collection sums up the idea well, because it treats vulnerability as a kind of strength rather than a reason to disappear.
The Pererenan showroom offers private fittings and complimentary customization, which makes sense for clothes designed around the body. When I shop this label, I would start with the occasion and the fit, then give the studio its time instead of ordering an event dress like it is overnight delivery.

Dresses with a sense of occasion
The long dresses are where the romance gets room to move. The Nemesis Maxi Dress and Siren Maxi Dress are both floor-length and made for an evening that runs late, and the Jelena Draped Gown puts its shape right in the name. For a shorter night, the Gentle Dissolve Mini Dress and Hera Mini Dress keep the same feminine focus without the long hem.
In my fashion dreams, the Siren Maxi Dress catches the last light at an outdoor dinner, with a simple sandal and very little jewelry. What I would skip: leaving it to the last minute, especially for a gown, because made to order means you check the date first. Let the dress be the point and keep everything else quiet.

Swim that plays with softness
The swim pieces show the label's softer, sillier side. The Pleated Bikini Top and Pleated Bikini Bottom in ivory are the cleanest pair, while the Ruffled Heart Bikini Bottom invites some mix-and-match energy. The Ruffled Bikini Bottom adds a bit of texture to an otherwise simple beach look.
Picture her walking from the water to a long lunch in a loose shirt with the pleated set underneath. I would size the top and bottom separately instead of assuming one fit for both, and keep the cover-up light so the pleats stay visible. Start with the ivory for something quiet, or go for the heart details when you want more fun.

Draped layers and one-piece dressing
The going-out tops and the jumpsuit are where I would shop for an evening outfit with a clear center. The Devotion Draped Top and Wrap Top both do the work on their own, while the Rococo Top is the delicate one to wear with a clean trouser. The Huntress Jumpsuit is for the nights when I want to make one decision and be done.
In my fashion dreams, the Mistress Chiffon Robe falls over the Mistress Slip Short on a slow morning, and later the Huntress Jumpsuit takes over for the night out. I would keep the palette close and let the draping carry it. If you are torn between two pieces, pick the one you can already picture with something in your closet, since that is usually the one that gets worn twice.

A slower kind of glamour
What stays with me is the gap between AMOR MIA's high-drama shapes and its small-studio rhythm. The clothes are made to be noticed, but they come from a real place in Bali, made one order at a time. I would go to the dresses for an invitation, then come back for swim or a draped top when I want the same mood somewhere else. Although I suspect the Assassin Corset Top would be the piece I end up reaching for most.
