Beekman 1802 goat milk products range from a pure goat milk lotion and goat milk soaps to the Milk RX face and body care. I go through the lotions, face care and body care, and what I would skip on freshly shaved skin.

Beekman 1802, the Goat Milk Brand That Began on an Upstate Farm
Dr. Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell bought the Beekman farm in Sharon Springs, New York, in 2006 as a weekend getaway, then both lost their jobs in 2008 and moved there full time in 2009. They took in a neighboring farmer, John Hall, and his herd of about 80 goats, searched online for what to make with goat milk, found soap, and another neighbor, Deb McGillycuddy, taught them how. The brand is named after William Beekman, who built the farmhouse in 1802. Ridge had been a physician and a vice president of healthy living at Martha Stewart Omnimedia, and Beekman 1802 launched on The Martha Stewart Show; the couple later starred in The Fabulous Beekman Boys and won The Amazing Race in 2012. The brand calls its customers neighbors and lists goat milk and kindness as its two key ingredients. The Pure Goat Milk Lotion is the plain version, Honeyed Grapefruit adds scent, and the Vanilla Absolute wash and Pistachio & Dark Cherry soap carry the farmhouse origins into the shower.

Four for the face
The Milk RX line is the brand's more serious skincare. The Advanced Better Aging Cream is a rich moisturizer, and the Micellar Milk Froth is a cleansing gel that also removes makeup. Solar Milk is a mineral SPF 40 with a PA rating, and Milk Tint is a tinted primer serum at SPF 43, a good one-step morning for no-makeup days. It is a sensible face routine from a brand most people know for soap. Use the SPF as the last step, and reapply outdoors every two hours. Remove the tinted primer at night with the cleansing gel, and follow with the cream.
Body and hands, and the skip
The Milk RX Body Crepe Smoothing Cream targets thin, crepey skin on arms and legs, Silk Milk is a barrier-boosting body oil, and the White Chocolate Strawberry whipped cream is the dessert-scented one. The Milk RX hand cream finishes things with a renewal formula for hands. What I would skip is the scented body products on freshly shaved or irritated skin. Keep the pure lotion for those days, and use the scented ones elsewhere. Oil goes on damp skin right after a shower, then lotion on top if you are very dry or it is winter.
Using it well
Moisturize within a few minutes of bathing. Use the hand cream after every wash in winter. Store bar soap on a draining dish so it lasts. Wear sunscreen on hands and arms, too. If a product stings, rinse it off and go back to the plain lotion. The farm story is sweet, but the real test is how your skin feels after a week. If you want to keep browsing, I also put together Tarte Tubing Mascara and the Brand That Began With a Cheek Stain and Brown Lipstick for Fall, From Milk Chocolate to Espresso.
