Bond-Eye is the Sydney swim label founded by Steve Philpott, known for a crinkled fabric that looks as good as it feels. I like swimwear with a point of view, and this edit is how I would shop it.

Bond Eye Swimwear: Worth the Investment?
The beach idea behind Bond-Eye
I have never met a swimsuit I trusted on the first try, so I pay attention to labels that know exactly what they are good at. Bond-Eye is Steve Philpott's Sydney label, born from a Bondi beach sensibility, and he spent 13 years at another swim company, Running Bare, doing design, sales and marketing before he made his own. You can feel that background in how practical the whole thing is.
The signature is Authentic Crinkle, a textured knit that is hand-finished in Sydney and stretches in every direction. Most of the range is made in a way that is kinder to the planet, which I appreciate more than I would have guessed. The point of view is beach-aware but not only bikini: one-pieces and beaded ties share space with sarongs and layers, and the About page tells the story in his own words.

Swim with texture and stretch
This is where I would look at surface and fit before color. The Ring Arden One Piece and Ring Mara One Piece carry the hardware note their names promise, while the Beaded Vista Tie Side Bikini Bottom and Beaded Ingrid Triangle Bikini Top make a beaded two-piece with a tie-side line. Ava One Piece and Mara One Piece are the quieter options, and Kaia Sarong is the layer for lunch after a swim.
I like the contrast between that tactile crinkle and the small ring details. In my beach-day daydream, a triangle top and sarong go straight from a morning swim to a late lunch without changing the mood. What I would skip: buying on color alone. Check the fit guidance for the exact style first, since most of the crinkle suits are unsized.

Layers that carry the beach into town
This group is the after-water wardrobe, small pieces next to resort clothes. The Beaded Tie Side Vista Brief, Ring Scene Brief and Stevie Brief are three different brief shapes, and Ring Delphi Crop sits naturally beside them. Willow Pant and Tessa Top are the more covered option, while Cora Mini Short and Claudia Maxi Skirt move from short and casual to long and loose. The Wynn Side Tie Swim Cover Up Maxi Skirt is the one I would pack first.
Picture a simple crop with the Willow Pant for an airport day, then the pant swapped for the maxi skirt when the plan turns into dinner. I would read each description for intended use before mixing the briefs with the crop, because a name alone does not say whether something is a swim piece or a lounge one.

The crinkle is the through line
Bond-Eye is a label I read through its making: the textured knit, the Australian finish and the beach-life reference all tell the same story. The simplest way in is a suit you can imagine wearing for a full swim, then a sarong or a resort layer that earns the space in your bag. I would choose fit first and let the crinkle, a ring or a print do the rest. Although I admit the beaded ties would probably win me over.
