Candice Olson's design work and wallpaper

Toronto-based Candice Olson has more than 25 years of residential and commercial design work. She graduated from Ryerson University's School of Interior Design, hosted eight seasons of HGTV's Divine Design, then followed it with Candice Tells All. Her official biography says the shows have been broadcast in more than 75 countries.

She has authored six best-selling interior design books. HGTV dates her broad home decor collection to 2005, while MDC says its Candice Olson collection began in 2011 and later expanded into Couture and Living Well.

Candice Olson wallpaper for texture, pattern and easy updates

York's Candice Olson line puts classic pattern into contemporary wallcoverings, including grasscloth, cork, woven surfaces, botanicals and geometric motifs. I keep the first two grids to texture and leaves, so each room idea has its own clear point of view.

Olson describes her approach as traditional form and proportion paired with modern simplicity. The last two grids follow that contrast through structured geometry and peel-and-stick papers, a practical way to test one seasonal accent wall.

Where I would start with Candice Olson's style

Start with Jute Wallpaper on one wall, then build around the natural materials already in the room. For a smaller update, try one peel-and-stick pattern from the final grid. The best Olson rooms balance ornament with breathing room.
