City Walking

City Walking

Layers, wide jeans, a raincoat and a small bag for long days on foot and changing weather. Made for women who walk the city and still want to look put together.

A good walking outfit starts with layers you can peel off in the middle of a block. I build it from a sweater, a shirt and a coat that can handle a surprise shower, and I keep everything dark or soft enough to wear with the rest. The J.Crew raincoat is the piece I would buy first, and a camel coat from Jenni Kayne covers the colder mornings.

Underneath I like a LISA YANG cashmere sweater or the ANINE BING crew over a crisp shirt from Alex Mill, then jeans with a little room, like LE JEAN's barrel pair or the DL1961 black straight leg. Add a small leather bag that sits close to the body, such as the J.Crew Delphine, and you can get through a full day on foot without thinking about it.
