Creed Perfume and Fragrance

Creed Perfume and Fragrance

Creed says it was founded in London in 1760 by James Henry Creed, and its perfumes are made today near Paris at Fontainebleau, where ingredients are weighed, mixed and macerated by hand. The house is built on family, with Olivier Creed, the sixth generation, creating Aventus, Green Irish Tweed and Silver Mountain Water. This edit gathers Aventus, Queen of Silk, Wild Vetiver and the Millésime perfumes, discovery sets, body care and a refillable travel atomiser.

Aventus, Queen of Silk and the Millésimes

Creed says it was founded in 1760 on Conduit Street in London by James Henry Creed, as a tailoring house for British royalty. Wikipedia notes that the history before 1970 comes from the house itself and is disputed, so I tell it as the house's own story. In that story, the glove-maker James Henry Creed scented leather gloves, and King George III commissioned Royal English Leather, the first Creed perfume. The operation moved to Paris in 1854 at the invitation of the court of Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie, and the fragrances are now made near Paris at Fontainebleau, where raw ingredients are weighed, mixed and macerated by hand. Aventus came in 2010 for the 250th anniversary and is the best-selling blend, so it leads the shelf here: Aventus Eau de Parfum, Absolu Aventus and Aventus Cologne. Alongside it are Queen of Silk, Wild Vetiver, Iris Debonair, Love In White, Wind Flowers, the Millésime Royal Mayfair and Millésime Impérial, and a Silver Mountain Water perfumed soap. Olivier Creed, sixth generation, created Aventus, Green Irish Tweed and Silver Mountain Water. For a gentle map of white florals, this creamy white floral guide is a good starting reference, and this vetiver and fig look-alike guide helps if the woody side is what you like.

Sets and discovery boxes

The motto on Creed boxes is de père en fils, from father to son, and the house has created more than 200 handmade perfumes. A set is the easiest way to meet more than one of them. The Leather Wallet 8-Piece Fragrance Discovery Set, the Aventus Discovery Set and the Women's Fragrance Discovery Gift Set are for sampling, while the Aventus 3-Piece Gift Set, the Aventus Set and the Leather Wallet Fragrance Gift Set pair bottles with more. The Women's 9-Pc. White Leather Wallet Gift Set and the Opulent & Floral 3-Piece Perfumed Body Soap Set are the softer end of the range. What I would skip is buying a discovery set as a gift for someone who already wears a single fragrance daily, since they may not want a rotation; a full bottle of that scent is the better choice. To carry a small bottle in a bag, this guide to flat zip pouches has useful cases.

Full bottles, body care and travel

The last group shows how far the house reaches. Aventus for Her, Sublime Vanille, White Flowers, Spring Flower, Virgin Island Water and Millesime 1849 are the full bottles to know. Green Irish Tweed appears in a 240ml bottle and as a Hand & Body Wash, while the Silver Mountain Water Hand & Body Lotion and the Aventus Body Oil give the scent a second life on skin. The Refillable Travel Atomiser (5ml) is the practical piece. A scent worn in a body oil and an eau de parfum together is a good way to layer, and for floral options this lavender and orange blossom guide suggests a warm direction. For the body routine, these body oils and lotions give ideas.

The bottles I would build around

I would pick one house scent and let it do the work: Aventus for the story, Queen of Silk for a softer one, and a travel atomiser to refill it. The house has been through a lot recently, with Olivier Creed's death in May 2026 and L'Oréal's acquisition of Creed from Kering in April 2026, and his son Erwin was co-creative director beside him. The motto still fits the shelf: from father to son.
