FUGAZZI is the Amsterdam fragrance house Bram Niessink started in 2018 after mixing perfume oils at home. I like its bold, slightly mischievous way of building a scent around a memory.

FUGAZZI Fragrance: Is Angel Dust Worth It?
The Amsterdam experiment
I love a brand that began as a detour, and FUGAZZI is exactly that. Bram Niessink grew up in the Netherlands and studied Fashion Management at Amsterdam's AMFI. In 2018, after a trip to Egypt, he started mixing perfume oils at home, and friends liked one blend enough that he decided to bring it to market. The about page still frames fragrance as a way to turn moments into memories, with a bold, unconventional streak.
His idea of perfume is closer to a story than a formula. He calls it storysmelling, the way a scent can bring back a place or a feeling. It took 24 versions to solve one very specific craft problem: a long-lasting cologne that keeps its top notes fresh. I find that stubbornness reassuring.
Later he opened a three-floor flagship in Amsterdam, and Angel Dust XDP was made for Numéro Netherlands, which was shot as a stark fashion story. It suits a label that is happy to make fragrance feel a little strange.

A scent wardrobe, from perfume to shower
FUGAZZI's lineup reads like a scent routine, not just a shelf of bottles. I would start with the Angel Dust Eau De Parfum 50ml for a first wear, then move to the Angel Dust Extrait 100ml if I wanted something richer, with its dark wood, cashmere, white amber and pink pepper. The Angel Dust Eau De Parfum 100ml and Angel Dust Extrait 50ml are the same story in other sizes.
The Cash Flower Extrait 8ml is a small way to meet another side of the house, and the Pomegranoudh Extrait 50ml and Vanilla Haze Eau De Parfum 50ml are for the day one scent stops being enough. The Vanilla Haze Extrait + Angel Dust Extrait Set and Bestseller Set suit a person who likes to compare. The Angel Dust Body Lotion 250ml, Angel Dust Foaming Shower Gel 200ml and Angel Dust Dry Shampoo 300ml make it feel like daily care as much as perfumery.
What I would skip: layering every scented body product on day one. Wear one perfume alone for a day first, so you can tell which part you actually love.

A perfume house with its own dialect
I like that FUGAZZI began with curiosity, not inherited perfumery rules. Niessink built a language around memory and mischief, then carried it from hand-mixed oils to sprays, extracts and body care. Picture a scent that is atmospheric, a little strange and still real on skin. I would keep the first wear simple, pick one bottle and let it settle before deciding whether it belongs in my rotation, although I suspect the Angel Dust is already in mine.
