Green Mascara

Green mascara is genuinely rare. Search it at any major retailer and most of what comes back is black mascara sold by a brand with green packaging. There are a handful of real ones and they lead both grids below, followed by green liners, pencils and shadows that get you the same effect. Everything here is actually green, checked shade by shade, and runs from $20 to $71 across Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom.

Two true green mascaras here. Shiseido's ControlledChaos MascaraInk in 04 Emerald Energy is $30 and the easiest one to start with. Trait d'Hermes in 05 Vert Titien is $71 and the most refined green in the group. The rest is green eye colour: Lancome's Idole Liner in Emerald Green and M.A.C's Metallic Eye Shadow in Emerald Forest are both $26, Charlotte Tilbury's Double Ended Liner in Green Lights is $34, Victoria Beckham Beauty's EyeWear in Bottle Green is $35, Chanel's Stylo Yeux in Vert Emeraude is $36, and Dior's Diorshow liquid liner in 301 Shimmer Green is $39.

Nordstrom carries the most affordable real one: Ashunta Sheriff Beauty's UV Vegan Mascara in green at $20. Anna Sui and Paul & Joe both make a green eyebrow mascara at $25, which is the same wand-and-formula idea in a smaller brush. For the rest, Kosas' Soulgazer gel eyeliner is $24, Bobbi Brown's 24 Hour Kajal is $28, ILIA's Eye Stylus shadow stick is $33, Prada's lines gliding pencil is $35, and Melt Cosmetics' Petite Eyeshadow Stack is $36.

The supply here is the story. Nordstrom's own green mascara category lists two items. Bloomingdale's colour filter on mascara returns twelve products and only two of them are mascara at all. So if you want green lashes specifically, the realistic shortlist is the Ashunta Sheriff at $20, the Shiseido at $30 and the Hermes at $71, and that is close to the whole market. The green liners and shadows are not a consolation prize: a line of Chanel Vert Emeraude along the lash base reads green from across a room and is far easier to wear to work.
