Jacquemus Spring 2027: Le Bonheur

Le Bonheur
Simon Porte Jacquemus took 155 guests up a narrow trail to the Phare de la Pietra, a lighthouse on the northwest coast of Corsica, and called the collection Le Bonheur, happiness. It is his first traveling show since 2024, and it brings back what made the label famous: a show as a lifestyle you can buy into.
He said Corsica is a very happy memory, one he shared with his late mother, and that being a parent himself pushed him toward something light and colorful, like ice creams. I find that completely disarming, and it shows. Nobody here is trying to look serious.

A day by the sea
The clothes cover a lot of ground. There are folky headdresses, full skirts in richly colored cottons, drop-waist bubble skirts, azure budgie smugglers and bikini bottoms, marinière-striped organza gowns, white seersucker suiting and swoopy beach robe coats. It is coed, and the men and women are dressed in the same spirit. I like that nothing is built to impress at a distance. It is built to be worn at a long lunch that turns into a swim.
Mostly white
If the show has a color it is white. A little over a third of the looks are all white or cream, which looks like a cutout against that ochre scrub and blue water. Then everything else is a hit of yellow, red, stripes or polka dots, and a good number of looks carry big, bright bags.
Eight looks wear a head wrap or headscarf and eight add a robe, duster or cape on top. The white is what lets the color read, and I would copy that: build around one clean base and add one loud thing.
Not one heel
This is the detail I liked most. Not a single look in the show has a visible heel. The shoes are flats, flat sandals and the little water slippers that fold flat and are easy to wear into the sea.
A few hems cover the feet entirely, so I will say zero visible. A runway where nobody is teetering anywhere is a statement, and on a cliff path it is also just practical. It makes the clothes look like they belong to people who walk places. That is the whole charm of it.
