Jennifer Lawrence's wedding dress was reportedly a Dior gown by Maria Grazia Chiuri, with a round neckline and puff sleeves. This edit rounds up dresses in that spirit for weddings and evenings.

Jennifer Lawrence Wedding Dress, and What She Wore
Jennifer Lawrence Wedding: The Dior Dress She Married In
Jennifer Lawrence married Cooke Maroney on October 19, 2019, at Belcourt of Newport, a mansion in Rhode Island, in front of about 150 guests. She wore Dior, according to People. Dior has not officially confirmed it or shared photos, and Lawrence has not shown the dress herself, so what we know comes from that report and from the few pictures taken as she left the venue. I went deeper on a related idea in Jennifer Lawrence Wedding, and What She Wore.
Those pictures show an embellished gown with a round neckline and puff sleeves, with crystals and a pearl-trimmed neckline reported by Harper's Bazaar. Vogue noted that most people expected Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior's creative director for womenswear, to be the one who designed it, given Lawrence's years as a Dior ambassador. People's source said the Dior team kept the dress in its own room at the Hotel Viking the night before.
On choosing it, Lawrence told Catt Sadler she saw a dress she liked and said, "That's the dress." That is the right way to shop for one. If you want that sparkle and shape in something you can actually buy, start with Fleur Du Mal's Rhinestone Fishnet Dress and Few Moda's Arabella Silk Dress in the first group.

What actually decides it
What decides this is shoulder fit, length and how the fabric moves. Everything else is preference. Two from the first group show the range: Anine Bing's Noemi Dress - Black at $325, and Elie Tahari's Mila Milano Sculpt Dress at $348. The first is the easy entry point; the second is where the money goes. Check where the waist seam sits on the model against your own proportions. Lining is what stops a cheap fabric reading as cheap. A higher price mostly buys materials and finishing, and occasionally it buys nothing at all.

How to wear it
A belt turns a shapeless dress into a deliberate one. Let the dress be the loudest thing you own that day. From the second group, 16Arlington's Ilian Gown in Crepe ($879) is the one that earns its place, because it works in more than one context without being restyled. The third group is smaller and deliberately narrower, dresses, for the decisions you make after the main one. None of this needs the whole group. One piece from each is usually enough. If you want to keep going, A Second Wedding Dress: What to Wear to the After-Party is the one I would read next.
Start with the sleeves and the sparkle
What stays with me about her dress is how little of it we got to see. Round neck, puff sleeves, crystals catching the light, and that was enough for everyone to keep looking it up seven years later.
So when you shop this edit, borrow the parts that did the work: a sleeve with some shape, one surface that shines, and a neckline that sits cleanly. Try one on in daylight and again under a warm bulb. The one that still looks like a decision in both is the one to keep.
