Jonathan Adler Home Collection: Pottery, Lighting, Furniture and Pillows for Fall and Winter

A look at Jonathan Adler's expressive porcelain, layered lighting, upholstered seating and playful pillows for cool-weather rooms.

Shop Jonathan Adler pottery, table and floor lamps, living room furniture and decorative pillows, with a look at the designer's career and studio.

Jonathan Adler's pottery is the start of his home collection

Jonathan Adler's home collection starts with pottery, the craft he first tried at summer camp before leaving the movie business in 1993 to start his namesake company. That studio origin still feels present in the porcelain urns, vases and bowls here.

He opened his first Soho store in 1998 and designed The Parker Palm Springs hotel in 2004. I love how the objects hold their own on a table while giving a larger room its point of view.

Jonathan Adler's design moves from objects to full rooms

Jonathan Adler's studio work stretches from objects to rooms for living, staying, working and playing. The official portfolio includes hotels such as Parker Palm Springs and Eau Palm Beach, as well as 70 Charlton Apartments.

He joined Fisher-Price as Creative Director in 2016 and created a seven-foot bronze banana sculpture for The Parker Palm Springs in 2017. In 2025, he led his first exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Design, pairing more than 60 works from the permanent collection with designs from his studio. I love the same offbeat confidence in the sofas, lighting and pillows here.

Where I would start with Jonathan Adler's style

Start with a Dora Maar Urn and a Pagoda Table Lamp, then leave some negative space around them. I would add one handworked pillow to the sofa only when the room needs a little more of Adler's humor. That balance of form, light and a wink is where I would begin.
