Lisa Eldridge makes professional makeup artistry feel personal

Lisa Eldridge is a makeup artist whose work moves between red carpets, runway and editorial, with a light touch that still leaves a strong point of view. Kate Winslet, Keira Knightley, Lily Collins and Emma Watson are among the clients named in her biography.

She launched her YouTube channel in 2010 as the first professional makeup artist to share insider techniques and non-sponsored recommendations there. The channel has passed 280 million views, and 100 percent of its advertising revenue has gone to charities focused on female education and health.

A makeup artist’s expertise shapes the line she built

Lisa trained as a CIDESCO aesthetician and facialist, then launched her own beauty line in 2019 with True Velvet Lipsticks. She has also held creative direction, ambassadorial and product development roles for Chanel, Shiseido and Lancôme.

Her 2015 book, Face Paint: The Story of Makeup, became a New York Times bestseller and is published in nine languages. For 2026, Allure named Kitten Flick Liquid Eyeliner Best Eyeliner and Woman & Home awarded Seamless Skin Enhancing Tint Best Tinted Moisturiser.

Where I would start with Lisa Eldridge

I would start with Spinel Mimetic Pearl Lip Colour and Quartz Cream Shadow Stick for a compact evening look. Their light-catching lip and smooth eye textures echo the color play behind Lisa’s work. From there, I would keep the rest of the face simple.
