I like a sale story more when it starts with the work behind the object. Longchamp's own history places its beginning in Paris in 1948, when Jean Cassegrain began a French leather-goods business with a leather-covered pipe. The house added small leather goods in 1955 and opened its first workshop in Segré near Angers in 1959. Its craftsmanship page says artisans have upheld the workshops' know-how since 1948, combining rigor and innovation to make pieces designed to last. That history matters to me because the handbags here come from a house built around leatherwork.

Longchamp Black Friday 2026 is still a wait-and-see story. StyleCaster's Nov. 28, 2025 round-up reported 30 percent off a Le Pliage Xtra S Handbag in the brand's sale section, a useful signal but not a sitewide promise. Black Friday falls Nov. 27, with Cyber Monday on Nov. 30. As of Nov. 1, I found no 2026 Black Friday terms on Longchamp's U.S. site; its banner promotes a My Pliage pop-up in New York through Nov. 13. The VIP Sale page still lists an invitation-only May 22 to 24 event, already past, so I would not read it as a November offer.

I would put the Large Le Pliage Tote and Medium Le Pliage Nylon Shoulder Tote at the top of my early-buy shortlist: Nordstrom's PDPs show 2,710 and 1,597 reviews, respectively, and both describe water-resistant nylon with leather trim. The Large Le Pliage One Nylon Shoulder Tote has the same fold-flat textile approach, while the Small Le Pliage Original Top Handle Bag packs down into a compact shape. I would settle on the capacity and color before November, then watch availability rather than assuming a particular markdown will arrive.

The Medium Le Pliage Xtra Leather Hobo Bag and Extra Small Le Pliage Xtra Leather Clutch are the leather pieces I would watch; both have one-size availability, with the hobo built in leather and the clutch adding a removable crossbody strap. For a recycled alternative, the Le Pliage Extra Small Crossbody Bag uses ECONYL regenerated nylon, and the Large Le Pliage Energy Recycled Canvas Hobo Bag has recycled polyamide. Last year's Xtra markdown is a clue to monitor, not a reason to expect every one of these four to follow the same schedule.
