LSPACE is the Costa Mesa swim label that started with reversible triangle bikinis and a real obsession with fit. I like it for the bright coastal mood and the clothes that carry you from the water to dinner.

LSPACE Swimwear and Beach Bags: Where to Start
From a bikini idea to a whole beach day
I have a soft spot for any brand whose origin story involves an open warehouse door. Monica Wise started LSPACE in California in 1999 with a small line of reversible triangle bikinis and a genuine interest in how a swimsuit fits. She spotted a warehouse lined with swimwear fabric, met Cindy there, and found the manufacturing partner who stayed with her for decades. You can read the whole story in her own words, and it is a good one. If you want to keep going, Vix Swimwear Bikinis and One-Pieces: Where to Start is the one I would read next.
The first big moment came in 2008, when a Miami Swim Week runway show introduced the fringe bikini. Fit and confidence are the through line I notice, even as the label has grown from swim separates into dresses, bags and resort pieces.
That is why I like it as a case study in a beachside idea growing up without forgetting the question that started it, which is how a woman should feel in a swimsuit. Here the answer includes a proper day bag, dresses for the hours out of the water and swim you can mix and match.

Bags for the hours around the water
LSPACE dresses the hours around a swim, not just the swim itself, and the bags prove it. The Vienna Clutch is the evening counterpoint, and I would save it for dinner after the beach. The Changing Tides Bag, Paloma Beach Tote and Coastline Beach Bag all point to a daytime plan, in natural, cream and black tones that sit happily beside a bright suit or a plain white dress.
Picture her leaving the water with the Paloma Beach Tote, an easy dress and flat sandals. What I would skip: choosing a beach bag by its name alone. Check how much it holds against the sunscreen, sunglasses and cover-up you actually carry.

Dresses for the long lunch and the last light
The names here are all destinations, and the dresses read that way too. The Santorini Dress, Barcelona Dress, Topanga Dress and Zuri Dress all feel like things I would pack for lunch somewhere warm and wear again to an early dinner. The L*Raveena Dress joins them. Santorini, Barcelona and Zuri stay in the cream palette, while Topanga brings in cornflower blue.
I would let the color do the styling, with a woven bag and flat sandals instead of another bright accessory. In my fashion dreams she wears the Topanga Dress at a seaside table, then adds a light wrap when the sun goes down. One tip for the suitcase: read the care notes on the pale ones before you leave.

Mix-and-match swim with a little shade
The swim heritage is easiest to see in the pieces you can combine. The Nadia One Piece and Fifi One Piece keep it simple, while the Lucia Bottom can build a separate with the Dame Top, Madison Top or Presley Top. There are also set pairings, like the LTaylor Bikini Top & Mackenzie Bikini Bottom and the LSpace Sonia Bikini Top & Lennox Bikini Bottom, for days when I do not want to think.
The Carmel Island Bucket Hat is the accessory I would pack for a sunny afternoon, and the Alex Bottom Bitsy is the smaller-cut option. For the walk to lunch there is the LJessa Mini Swim Dress Cover-Up, the LSpace Caicos Cropped Swim Cover-Up Sweater & Caicos Swim Cover-Up Sweater Skirt and the LSpace Ash Tank & Rune Shorts, with the LSpace Belle Bikini Top & Rocky Bikini Bottom for the water.
Picture her going from the water to lunch in the Nadia One Piece under a loose shirt, then adding the hat. My practical note: settle on the bottom coverage you want first, then match the top.

A founder's beach idea, carried forward
From reversible triangles to fringe bikinis and a full beach-day closet, LSPACE has kept its eye on how a woman feels in swimwear. I like that the history is not just a string of trend pieces. The fringe turned movement into a design language, and today's dresses and totes make the shoreline feel like a whole day, not a single stop. If I were packing a small LSPACE kit, I would start with a suit that fits, add one dress and finish with the bag that suits my plans, although I would probably sneak in the hat. I went deeper on a related idea in BEACH RIOT Swimwear & Tops: Where to Start.
