The Medicube collagen mask is a wrap-style night mask you peel off in the morning. Here it is with hydrogel and sheet masks, Korean sleeping masks and the overnight creams I reach for on dry nights.

Medicube Collagen Mask and the Overnight Masks I Would Sleep In
Medicube is made by APR, the Seoul company Kim Byung Hoon founded in 2014, and the brand says its first products were dermocosmetics sold in Korean pharmacies and at Olive Young, the collagen mask among them, before it became known for devices. The Medicube collagen mask is a wrap-style night mask: you smooth it on after skincare, sleep in it, and peel it off in the morning. Biodance comes from Mihwa Kim, a former TV shopping host who used hydrogel scar patches while recovering from a serious car accident in 2013 and built her brand around that technology; in its Real Deep mask the essence is solidified into the mask itself, and Biodance says it has sold over 300 million masks. Enrico Frezza, who worked in cybersecurity, started Peace Out after trying hydrocolloid dressings on his own breakouts, and its bio-collagen sheet mask works overnight. Laneige, whose name comes from the French for snow, adds a peony collagen complex to its Bouncy + Firm sleeping mask. Collagen in a mask hydrates and plumps the surface; it does not replace the collagen in your skin.

Korean sleeping masks
Laneige built its name on hydration, and the Water Sleeping Mask is one of its flagship products. Belif, pronounced like believe, takes its inspiration from a 19th-century Edinburgh herbalist, and the Aqua Bomb mask seals in moisture. Hanyul, from Amorepacific, launched at Sephora in May 2025 led by the Yuja Sleeping Mask, a brightening jelly with vitamin C. Sulwhasoo, whose story began with camellia oil sold in Kaesong in 1932, makes the Overnight Vitalizing Mask, a cream mask for richer overnight care. These are the easiest way into overnight masking, since they feel like a thicker moisturizer and rinse off in the morning.
Overnight creams, and the skip
Fresh began in Boston in 1991 with a hand-wrapped soap, and its Floral Recovery mask calms sensitive skin. Clinique's Moisture Surge overnight mask is oil-free, from the brand that launched at Saks in 1968 as fragrance-free and dermatologist-developed. Farmacy's night mask uses 10 percent niacinamide for texture, and Ole Henriksen, who opened his Los Angeles skin care center in 1975 after botanical remedies cleared his acne in Indonesia, makes Après Skin with ceramides. What I would skip is sleeping in a peel-off mask on broken or very sensitive skin. Patch test first, and peel slowly.
Masking at night
Apply after serum as the last step, in a thin, even layer. Wait until it feels dry before lying down, and use a clean pillowcase. Three or four nights a week is plenty. Rinse or peel in the morning and follow with sunscreen. Keep the jar closed tightly so it does not dry out, and use a clean spatula.
