Minimal Shirt

Minimal Shirt

Plain shirts in white, black, pale blue and navy for men who want a clean wardrobe. Crisp poplin and soft linen that go with everything you already own.

The minimal shirt is the one I reach for when I do not want to think. White, black, pale blue and navy, in fabric that looks clean after a day of wear. Linen from Alex Mill, Gitman Vintage and Faherty gives that soft, slightly rumpled look, while the Vince poplin and the slim stretch dress shirt keep things crisp for the office.

I would build a week from four or five shirts: a white one, a pale blue Orlebar Brown, a navy Marine Layer and a black linen shirt for nights out. Wear them tucked into trousers or loose over shorts, and keep the collar plain. Tonal pieces like the brown Tekla poplin shirt are good if white feels too stark against your skin.
