Sisters Sandra and Karla, graduates of Central Saint Martins and Istituto Marangoni, founded Moré Noir in late 2016 as a swim and resort label. The name nods to their native Bulgaria and the Black Sea they keep returning to. This edit collects the dresses, skirts, tops and swimwear that bring ready-to-wear sensibility to a vacation wardrobe.

Moré Noir

Dresses and tailored pieces
The sisters wanted swimwear with the sensibility of ready-to-wear, and the dresses show how far that idea goes. Cotton-silk voile, silk jersey and chiffon are light enough for a hot afternoon and good enough for a long dinner.

Skirts, tops and swim
Ruched jersey maxi skirts, crinkled silk tops and a few swimsuits sit together here the way they would in a suitcase. I love that the swim feels like part of the same wardrobe instead of a separate category.

Named for a sea
Moré Noir nods to the Black Sea in the sisters' native Bulgaria, and the brand's small-batch approach fits that sense of place. Pack light and bring the voile.
