NikeSKIMS is the 2025 activewear label from NIKE, Inc. and SKIMS, pairing sport science with a body-aware way of cutting leggings and sets. I like it for how seriously it takes movement and fit at the same time.

NikeSKIMS Activewear: Leggings and Sets to Know
How two different kinds of fit knowledge met
I am usually wary of a big collaboration, because most of them are a logo swap with a press event attached. NikeSKIMS made me look twice. It was introduced in February 2025 as a new brand from NIKE, Inc. and SKIMS, and the idea is that the two bring different kinds of fit knowledge. Nike has the sport science and athlete insight, and SKIMS, started in 2019 by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede, has a long focus on inclusive solutions for the female form. I went deeper on a related idea in Astoria Activewear: The Leggings and Bras to Know.
The first apparel release landed in September 2025, with seven collections and 58 silhouettes. The campaign was called Bodies at Work, with a film by director Janicza Bravo, and it put more than 50 athletes in front of the camera, including Jordan Chiles, Serena Williams, Chloe Kim and Romane Dicko. For me that cast says more than any slogan could: movement across levels, shapes and sports, with room for personal style.
The tension I find most interesting is engineered performance against a body-aware silhouette. The pants, bras, shoes and swim pieces here are a practical test of whether the two can live together.

Pants for a change of pace
The range is in the names. Pant is the spare starting point, Matte Corset Leggings bring a closer line, and Stretch Knit Harem Pants loosen everything up. Crop Legging moves the hem up the leg, which is useful when I want a clear ankle line over a sneaker. Nike V-line 26" Leggings is the longer line I would try on beside them.
Picture her going from a strength session to a quick errand in the harem pants and a fitted top. My practical note is to check the inseam on the cropped options before deciding where the hem should land, because that one detail changes the proportion with a shoe.

The close-to-body layers
Matte Corset One Peice gives the outfit a single-piece line, and Crop Shortsleeve Top brings a short sleeve into the layering. Picot Bra and Squareneck Racerback Bra put two necklines side by side, one delicate and one more athletic. The first collection was designed to move between studio, gym and daily life, and I like how these let the next layer change the mood.
Picture her warming up in the racerback with a shirt over it, then taking the layer off when the room heats up. I would hold each bra up against the top I plan to wear over it, because strap placement matters once the body is moving.

Shoes and pieces for the day around training
This group takes the look outside the studio. Rift Mesh Sneaker and Rift Satin Sneaker are two finishes of the same silhouette, and Short is a plain bottom for training. Shine Cami One Piece moves toward swim, so the lineup covers more than one kind of movement without turning into a uniform. I would let mesh or satin set the tone for the rest of the outfit.
Picture her packing a one-piece and sneakers for a weekend where a morning walk turns into time by the water. What I would skip is asking one outfit to do every job. Decide the day first, then pick the shoe and the swim piece.

Performance with room for self-expression
I keep coming back to how deliberate the pairing is: Nike brings research and sports performance, SKIMS brings a long attention to the female form and inclusive fit. NikeSKIMS is not trying to make athletes dress like one another. Its strongest idea is that function and self-expression can sit together, from the supportive layers to the shoe by the door. When I want movement clothes that still feel styled, this is what I would look for. If you want to keep going, Varley Activewear: Knits, Layers and Soft Performance Sets is the one I would read next.
