Oseree Swimwear

Oseree Swimwear

Oseree was created in 2015 by Isabella Cavallin and Jannine Vinci, who brought together marketing studies and design training in London with an Italian beachwear sensibility. The label is known for metallic Lurex, lace and swim pieces that treat the shoreline as a stage rather than a backdrop. This is resort dressing with a deliberate flash of drama, best approached as separates that can travel into the evening.

Lurex swim shapes

Oseree was founded in 2015 by Isabella Cavallin and Jannine Vinci, who wanted swimwear that was sensual, precise and unlike the plain basics around them. The Lurex pieces make that point plainly, catching light without relying on a loud logo. Choose the cut first, especially the support and coverage you will actually want, then let the metallic surface provide the spectacle.

Light-catching layers

The founders trained in marketing and design before building an Italian label around beachwear, which helps explain the collection’s strong sense of presentation. Kaftans, pareos, skirts and easy trousers give the swimwear somewhere to go once the towel is packed away. Keep the base simple and use one reflective layer at a time, because the fabric already has plenty of presence.

After-sun statements

Oseree’s shift into dresses and statement layers makes its swimwear easier to wear as a complete resort wardrobe. The best pieces are not subtle, but they are versatile when styled with plain sandals and a quiet bag. If you take one thing away, buy the metallic item that works with at least two settings, poolside in daylight and a late dinner, rather than a piece that only performs in photographs.

Our honest take

Our honest take: Oseree is for the person who enjoys being noticed, and it loses some of its point when toned down into anonymous basics. The swim shapes are the most convincing starting place, while the Lurex layers reward a trip with a strong evening rhythm. If you take one thing away, pick one flash-heavy piece and let everything around it stay calm.
