Pale Current

Pale Current

An edit of cream, sand and white shirts, polos, knits and trousers for men. Soft tones that mix easily and look better the more they are worn.

Pale is the easiest way I know to make simple clothes look considered. Cream, sand, bone and white all sit close together, so a whole outfit can be built from one soft range without looking flat. I start with a linen shirt, like the Antonio from Frescobol Carioca in sand or the Linen Shirt from Vince in pumice, and wear it open over a plain white tee from Quince.

For trousers I like the Original Label pleated linen pants from Polo Ralph Lauren in white, which drape well and look best a little creased. The Linen Knit Polo from Alex Crane in bone is my pick when it is too warm for a shirt, and the Better-Than-Linen Shirt from Marine Layer works when you want less wrinkling. Keep shoes and belt brown or white and let the fabric do the talking.
