Papier Planners: The Best Buys Worth Knowing

Papier Planners: The Best Buys Worth Knowing

Papier is the London paper brand Taymoor Atighetchi started in 2015 for notebooks, planners and cards you actually want to open. I like it because every cover looks chosen, and this edit sorts the shelf by habit.

How a paper person built Papier

I have a stack of beautiful notebooks I am too precious to write in, so I have strong feelings about stationery that invites use. Before Papier, founder Taymoor Atighetchi dealt antiques on London's Portobello Road and worked in management consulting. That mix of art, design and practical thinking is how I read the brand, and it launched in 2015 with a clear aim: make paper feel relevant to people who live on their phones. If you want to keep going, Dress Brands: The Wrap, the Print and the Ones Worth Knowing is the one I would read next.

Covers can be personalized, prints are made in-house or with artists, and the paper is FSC-certified. Most personalized pieces are made to order, so a notebook feels chosen rather than generic. For the 2025 tenth birthday, Atighetchi looked back on the early days and the four-millionth order in a founder interview.

The scale is impressive, but the best idea is still small: give people something worth returning to, whether that is a list, a letter or a plan for the week. I went deeper on a related idea in Dr. Denim Jeans: The Fits Worth Knowing.

Paper objects for real routines

This is a snapshot of the rituals Papier wants to make prettier: planning ahead, keeping a record and sending a thoughtful note. The With Love Wedding Binder-folio and Wedding Planner Binder Folio cover the practical side of a celebration, and the Cherries Baby Binder-folio is the livelier one for details you want to keep together. Joy Hardcover Daily Planner gives the day a page of its own, and Floral Checkerboard Undated Weekly Desk Planner can start when the week needs a reset.

Picture a Sunday afternoon with the Cherry Meal Planner beside a grocery list and the Imagination Mixed Pen & Highlighter Set Of 5 for color-coding what can be made ahead. La Dolce Vita Meal Planner gives food planning a second mood, and Joy Wellness Journal is for reflection rather than appointments. For December, the 12 Day Advent Calendar and 24 Day Advent Calendar mark the same season at different paces.

What I would skip is buying a daily and a weekly planner together unless you will use both. Tuck Today's The Day Faux Leather Softcover Notebook into your bag for ideas that do not belong on a calendar.

Paper for the plans and the pauses

A paper shelf works best when each object has a job I can picture. The 2027 planners cover several rhythms: Inky Floral Letter Size Softcover Spiral 2027 Weekly Planner, Colourful Check Hardcover 2027 Weekly Planner and Colourful Check Hardcover 2027 Daily Planner. Three of Hearts Letter Size Softcover Spiral 2027 Weekly Planner and Il Giardino Letter Size Softcover Spiral 2027 Weekly Planner bring different covers to the same format, and Inky Floral Hardcover 2027 Daily Planner is another daily option.

Casa Soluna Letter Size Softcover Spiral 2027 Weekly Planner, Growing My Year Letter Size Softcover Spiral 2027 Weekly Planner, Wallflower Hardcover 2027 Weekly Planner, Le Moderne Letter Size Softcover Spiral 2027 Weekly Planner and Photo Reel Letter Size Softcover Spiral 2027 Weekly Planner make the choice feel personal instead of purely functional. Dotted & Spotted Damson Madder x Papier Hardcover 2027 Weekly Planner is the one I would pick for the print alone.

The notebooks give me room for thoughts that do not belong on a calendar. Petals & Plaid Fabric Lined Notebook, Cafe Notes Hardcover Lined Notebook, Painterly Stripe Hardcover Lined Notebook, Clover Green Leather Notebook, Watercolour Dot Hardcover Lined Notebook and Chestnut & Ink PU Lined Notebook all suit a different kind of person. I would keep Vino Binder Wine Journal, Garden Trellis Binder Gardening Journal and Bistro Stripe Binder Recipe Journal for notes tied to one interest, with Pantry Staples Softcover Spiral Recipe Journal, For the Table Damson Madder x Papier Recipe Journal and Supper Club Damson Madder x Papier Softcover Spiral Recipe Journal for the cook.

Good Energy Damson Madder x Papier Wellness Journal and Good Energy Damson Madder x Papier Gratitude Journal are the reflective pair, and Peace Poppies Hoste by Laura Jackson Classic Notecard Set and Waves & Stars Classic Notecard Set are ready for a message. My practical test is to name the habit before choosing the book. If I already keep appointments on my phone, I would choose one format I will actually open.

A little more intention on the page

Papier stands out to me because it treats paper as a daily companion, not a souvenir. A personalized cover, a page that starts on Monday or a pen that makes a list feel lighter can be a small nudge toward using the page you already set aside.

I would start with the format that fits my actual week, then let the print do the rest. Although the print is usually how I end up choosing.
