Premium Denim Edit
Premium denim earns its place when it fits well enough that you stop thinking about it. I look for a good rise, a leg with some weight, and a wash that looks better the more you wear it. White and pale blue are the easy way in, like re/done's Snatch Back Straight or the soft ecru Arellia barrel from Paige.
When I want something with more shape, I go for a wide leg, such as Citizens of Humanity's Annina or the Lexi from SLVRLAKE, and wear it with a fitted tee and a flat. The agolde Low Slung Baggy is the cooler, slouchier pair for a boxy jacket. In darker indigo, the AMO Esme and the B Sides barrel jean look sharp with loafers. Try them on with the shoes you plan to wear, and check the hem.
