Real style is the stuff you reach for on a Tuesday, not the outfit you only wear for a photo. I build it from tees that hold their shape, jeans that fit the first time and a few knits that go over everything.
RE/DONE's classic cotton tee and the perfectwhitetee Cher are my base layer for almost any day, and I like the Good American combo layered tee when I want a bit more going on at the neck. For jeans, the DL1961 Cate straight leg and the Madewell short straight both sit right at the ankle with flats. Add a J.Crew rollneck or Veronica Beard Jean's Nadja top when it gets cool, and keep one dress, like the 111014 polka dot maxi, for days you do not want to think about pants.
