Ribbed and Refined

Corduroy trousers, skirts and shackets in rust, olive, navy and taupe, plus a few ribbed knits for the same cozy texture. It is for anyone who wants cold weather pieces that feel soft and still look sharp.

Corduroy is a texture I never get tired of, and the best pairs are the ones where the wale is soft and the cut is a little wider than you expect. I like to wear them with a plain tee and a chunky belt, or with a fitted knit tucked in so the leg can do the work.

Reformation's Cary and Madewell's petite wide leg are the easy everyday picks, and Levi's Ribcage flare gives you a long line in a deep plum. Nili Lotan's Florence in a pale taupe and LE BOP's navy Belle look sharper with loafers. If you like color, B Sides in a dusty blue is the one that surprises people. Then there is the ribbed knit side of the edit, like Varley's trouser and House of Harlow 1960's pant, which are as soft as sweatpants and look more pulled together. Mix one cord piece with one ribbed piece and the whole outfit feels warm.
