A good fitted knit does what a tailored piece does, only softer. It follows your shape, stays put when you reach for something and still looks neat at the end of a long day. That is what I mean by sculpted, and it is why I reach for these tops more than almost anything else in the closet.

 

Reformation's Iris, the red one with the draped shoulder, is the piece I would wear to dinner with plain black trousers. EAVES makes a turtleneck that goes under blazers and over nothing else, and NIC+ZOE's wrap sweater adds a little shape through the waist.
