Semi-Sheer

Semi-Sheer

Semi-sheer tops, skirts and dresses that are mesh or organza where it counts and covered where it matters. It is for anyone who wants a little allure without going all the way sheer.

Semi-sheer is the way I like to wear see-through: a little skin, a lot of fabric, and nothing that needs a second thought. The trick is that the sheer part sits where you are covered anyway, like the mesh yoke on a Marcella top or the organza layer over the satin on SEV's column top. Then it reads as texture, not as a statement.

For skirts I reach for the long sheer ones, such as SEROYA's Elda or the black Solara from VRG GRL, and wear them over a slip or bike shorts with a plain knit on top. A Nensi Dojaka tank is the one I would wear with trousers for evening, and the lace edge on a Reformation skirt looks softer than you would expect with a simple tee. If you are new to sheer, start with a top that has one panel and build from there.
