Silver skirts, sequin tops and metallic minis that catch the light without trying too hard. For anyone who wants a little shine in an everyday outfit.

I think of metallic as a neutral that happens to catch the light. One shiny piece is enough, and the rest of the outfit can be plain.

 

The easiest way in is a silver skirt, like the AG Jeans Tessa mini or the All Saints Jax pleated midi, worn with a black tank and flat loafers. If you want sequins, Reformation's Lisa top looks great with loose gray trousers, and the Isabel Marant Étoile Lou top works with plain jeans. For a night out, the Alex Perry halter mini needs nothing added except small earrings. I would wear the Self Portrait rhinestone wrap top with a black skirt, and keep the shine to a single spot so it reads as a choice.
