Simone Harouche, Nicole Richie’s Stylist: Her Career and the House of Harlow 1960 Jewelry to Shop

Who Simone Harouche is, who she has styled, and the House of Harlow 1960 jewelry that carries her bohemian point of view.

Simone Harouche is the Los Angeles stylist behind Nicole Richie, Miley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian. Read her career story and shop 32 House of Harlow 1960 jewelry pieces.

Who is Simone Harouche

Simone Harouche is a Los Angeles fashion stylist, costume designer and creative director whose clients include Nicole Richie, Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez and the Kardashian-Jenners. She began styling in 2005. When Nicole Richie married Joel Madden in December 2010, press reported that Simone went with her to the final Marchesa fitting. This page shops the jewelry world around that friendship, starting with the Sunburst collection from House of Harlow 1960, the brand Nicole founded and where Simone was a creative consultant in 2009 and 2010.

Simone Harouche’s career runs from music stages to brand building. The Hollywood Reporter named her one of the 25 most powerful stylists in Hollywood, she consulted for Yeezy from 2016 to 2018, and in 2018 she co-founded the lingerie label Kit Undergarments, which ThirdLove acquired. She now also works as an interior designer. The Nova collection from House of Harlow 1960 is the polish I would pair with that résumé: the Nova Petite Pendant Necklace is handcrafted in 14k yellow gold with pavé white diamonds and a stone of your choice, such as tiger’s eye, black onyx, blue lapis or citrine.

Simone Camille bags and her bohemian approach to accessories

Before Kit, Simone made handbags under the label Simone Camille. She has said she sewed a bag from vintage fabrics for herself, Nicole Richie asked for one, and orders followed. Kate Hudson was photographed with one in 2012. Those bags are no longer sold, so I follow the same bohemian instinct through Hathor and Harlow Arch jewelry from House of Harlow 1960: a spinning pendant, a hinged bracelet, a band and arched hoops that work as the single bold piece in an otherwise plain outfit.

Studs are the detail I keep returning to in the Harlow world: the Harlow Stud Cuff Bracelet, the leather bracelet and the leather necklace give a rock and roll edge to anything soft. The Harlow Arch Cross Finger Ring and Open Arch Ring suit stacking. For a party, the Tigerlily citrine stud earrings, claw earrings and brooch are the strongest pieces on this page, and I would wear only one of them at a time.

Where I would start with Simone Harouche’s style

Choose one hero piece, the Sunburst Pendant Necklace or the Nova Stacker Ring, and wear it with plain clothes the way a stylist would. Then add one studded piece from the Harlow collection for a little attitude. Her whole approach is confidence over quantity.
