Kind Patches is a young brand built around very small things. Here are its pimple, collagen and glow patches, the other spot patches I keep beside them, and the gentle serums and pads for the days you want to work on a whole area.

Small, Sticky and Sustainable: A Field Guide to Kind Patches
Kind Patches was founded in 2023. It grew out of the founders' wish to make small, sustainable products with natural ingredients, and that pairing of small and sustainable is the whole appeal for me. A patch is a tiny object. If someone is going to make thousands of them, I want them to have thought about it first.
It ships to the UK, US, EU, Mexico, Canada and Australia, and a patch is a natural travel product. It weighs nothing, it lives in a coat pocket, and it does not leak.
This first grid is the core of the range. The Pimple Patches are the ones you put on before bed, when a spot has appeared and you would rather not touch it. The Collagen Patches and the Super Glow Patches are the brand's wellness-minded side, worn on the skin as a small daily habit, so follow the directions on the pack and check with a doctor if you are unsure. I like this category because the ritual is so short. There is a small thing to do, and then you get on with your night.
If you are new to Kind Patches, start with the pimple ones and add the others once you have a feel for how you like a patch to sit. Clean, dry skin first, always. A patch will not stick to moisturizer, and it will curl at the edges if you try.

Pimple patches, side by side
Not every spot needs the same sticker, so this is my second shelf: pimple patches from other brands, each with a slightly different idea of the job.
Peace Out's patches combine salicylic acid and hydrocolloid, a pairing made for a spot that has come to a head. The INKEY List makes an invisible hydrocolloid patch with salicylic acid too, thin enough that I will wear it to a meeting. rhode's Spotwear is the one I would hand a friend who has never used a patch, hydrocolloid patches in playful shapes that are easy to peel and easy to place.
Then there are the liquid patches, which are not stickers at all. Kiehl's Truly Targeted is a salicylic acid liquid you dab on, and Murad's Deep Relief is made for the deep, sore kind of spot that a flat sticker cannot cover. Both suit places where a patch keeps peeling off, like the edge of the nose or the chin.
Topicals' Faded Dark Spot Patches are a different animal. They are made for the marks that stay behind after a spot has gone, with tranexamic acid, and they are the ones I use when I want to work on the aftermath rather than the event.
The small test for a good patch is simple. If it is still stuck down at breakfast and looks cloudy or white in the middle, it has done its job. Peel it slowly and do not squeeze.

Gentle serums for wider spots
Patches are for one spot. Sometimes the whole area is unhappy, and that is when I turn to a gentle serum or a pad, used in a measured way and never all at once.
Dr. Dennis Gross's Alpha Beta Extra Strength Peel Pads are an AHA and BHA exfoliating step for pores, dark spots and texture. They are strong by name, so I use them on a night when nothing else exfoliating has touched my face. Drunk Elephant's T.L.C. Framboos is a glycolic night serum, and it is a resurfacing step you should approach with real respect. Kate Somerville's EradiKate is a sulfur spot treatment, dabbed on a single spot rather than smoothed across the face.
Eadem's The Mark is a concentrate for dark spots and acne marks, with tranexamic acid, alpha arbutin and kojic acid, and I would keep it for the marks that linger. SK-II's Facial Treatment Essence is the calm one of this group, a soft, watery essence I reach for when everything else feels like too much.
What I would skip: using a peel pad, a glycolic serum and a sulfur spot treatment in the same night, and putting any of them under a patch. More is not faster, and skin that stings is skin telling you to stop. Pick one active per evening, wear sunscreen the next day, and if a spot is deep, sore or slow to leave, ask a doctor.

A tiny routine for a small problem
A small problem deserves a small routine. Mine goes like this: clean skin, a patch on the spot, nothing else on top of it, and a gentle serum only on the nights I have no patch on.
Keep a few patches in your bag rather than the bathroom, because the moment you notice a spot is rarely the moment you are home. Change the patch when it turns opaque, not before. If you are using an exfoliating serum, give it the night off from patches, since the two together can leave skin tender. And give any new product a week or two before you decide anything about it.
Kind Patches makes the case that a good routine does not need to be crowded. A patch, a clean face and a bit of patience go a long way.
