Gowns, satin dresses and sharp silk tops with a runway feel. For anyone who wants one dramatic piece to carry an outfit.

Studio Line is for the pieces that look like they came off a runway but still work on an ordinary Tuesday. I like gowns, satin dresses and one sharp top, and I keep the rest of the outfit very plain. A silk blouse is the easiest way in. Ulla Johnson's ruffled magenta one makes jeans look dressed, and Vince's cowl neck in off white works with a black trouser and nothing else.

 

For evenings I go longer. The SIMKHAI bustier gown and Tibi's bias maxi in green both do the work of a statement without any jewelry. Yellow the Label's organza dress in olive is a lighter option, and the Retrofête Veria in metallic taupe moves beautifully. I would pick one big piece, add a clean shoe and let the fabric be the point.
