Summer Bikinis

Summer Bikinis

Summer bikinis here run from crochet triangles to printed sets, in tops, briefs and matching sets. I would pack these first for slow afternoons by the water.

A summer bikini drawer does not need a full reset, just a few pieces that mix. I started with PacSun's crochet-trim triangle top and the printed Aeris triangle, then went looking for bikinis that feel a little more special: Hunza G's Gina set in its signature crinkle fabric, a metallic crochet triangle from Missoni's Mare line, Lido's pared-back Venti and the Mouna triangle from Eres in chocolate brown. For the printed triangles, Hill House Home's Alessia and LoveShackFancy's Saoirse sit next to Hunza G's red string set. The second group leans on halters, where Geel, WeWoreWhat and Runaway The Label bring the necklines and Hunza G's Sandy set, SIR. and Baobab take them dressier.

I buy tops and bottoms separately whenever I can, because very few of us wear the same size in both. A triangle with sliding cups is the most forgiving fit, a bandeau gives the cleanest tan line, and a high-cut brief makes legs look longer. Prints like Toteme's monogram or the cherry gingham from Agua by Agua Bendita are easier to wear than they look, as long as the cover-up stays plain.

What I would skip is heavy metal hardware if you actually plan to swim, since rings and chains heat up in the sun and can snag on a towel. Save those for the pool lounger and keep a simple tie-side set for the sea. If you want to keep browsing, I also put together Bikinis and One-Pieces To Pack.
