The easy wardrobe is the one you stop thinking about. I like a short list of pieces that all work together, so getting dressed takes two minutes and nothing fights. In warm weather that means a linen shirt, like the Alex Mill Mill shirt in blue or Faherty's white Laguna, with a pair of NN07 shorts or Polo Ralph Lauren's pleated linen pants.
When it cools off, I reach for a merino crew, and McTavish's dark blue one is a good place to start. J.Crew's half-zip and chinos fill in the middle, Rodd & Gunn's wool sweater is the warm option, and Everlane's polos are the ones I would wear on a weekend. Keep the colors close, white, navy, olive and stone, and it all goes together.
