The Modern Gentleman's Edit

A men's wardrobe of knits, polos, shirts and tailoring with a few sharp accessories. It is for the man who wants to dress well without making a show of it.

Dressing well is mostly a matter of owning a few things that fit and wear in. I start with knitwear, like the Ralph Lauren quarter-zip in dark heather grey or the ASHER cable crewneck, because both go over a shirt or on their own. A Faherty knit blazer is the jacket I reach for when a suit is too much, and it travels without a crease.

For shirts I like the plain ones, such as the Theory Sylvain in black or a blue Aaron Levine Oxford with the sleeves pushed up. SUITSUPPLY's black buttonless polo is what I would wear to dinner with tailored trousers, and Tom Ford sunglasses and a croc-embossed card holder finish it quietly. Keep the colors dark and the fit clean, and the rest is easy.
