Versed Skin Tint, the Serum Tint Behind the Brand

Versed Skin Tint, the Serum Tint Behind the Brand

The Versed skin tint is a mineral SPF 40 serum tint from Katherine Power's skincare-first brand. Here are eight Versed picks, from concealer to retinol, and eight other skin tints and tinted moisturizers to compare.

Magazine-style product test page with five cut-out products and a best-for note on each: Versed Skin Solution Multi-Serum Skin Tint Foundation SPF 40; Versed Skin Solution Serum Concealer; Versed Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream; Versed Press Restart Gentle Retinol Serum; Supergoop! Protec(tint) Daily SPF Tint SPF 50 Sunscreen Skin Tint

A Skincare Brand That Added Makeup

Versed was launched by Katherine Power, who also started Who What Wear, and it arrived in 2019 as a sister brand with a line of 19 skincare products. Its launch post says every product was built on research collected from over 16 million people. That is a skincare-first origin, and it matters when you look at what came later.

Makeup showed up in February 2025, when Versed introduced a collection of 14 new products. The Versed skin tint, officially the Skin Solution Multi-Serum Skin Tint Foundation SPF 40, became the standout. Glossy reported the four-month-old tint had outpaced its projections by 350 percent. I am not surprised. It is a lightweight, natural-finish tint with mineral SPF 40 and hyaluronic acid, so it behaves more like a step in your routine than a layer of foundation.

A skin tint is for people who want an even, healthy-looking base without the feeling of wearing one. Coverage is light to medium and buildable, which means you can dab more on the redness and leave the rest alone.

The first grid is Versed, from the tint and concealer to blush, moisturizers, retinol and sunscreen. The second grid is other skin tints and tinted moisturizers I compared it with. My tip: apply moisturizer first, wait a minute, then tap the tint in with your fingers.

Eight Versed Makeup and Skincare Picks

Start with the Skin Solution Multi-Serum Skin Tint Foundation SPF 40, then add the Skin Solution Serum Concealer if you want more coverage under the eyes. It is a medium-coverage, natural-finish concealer that blends, lightly blurs and sets itself, so it should not settle into fine lines. Both live in the same line and are meant to be worn together.

For cheeks, the Shade Swipe Blush Stick is a buildable cream blush with jojoba seed oil. The Everything Balm Complexion Color is a blush and bronzer hybrid, a wash of color with a sun-kissed glow. Swipe either one on over the tint and blend with your fingertips, since cream layers on cream beautifully.

The skincare half is where Versed started. Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream is a hyaluronic acid moisturizer that locks in serums and does not feel heavy under makeup. Dew Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream is the lighter pick for normal to oily skin. Press Restart Gentle Retinol Serum is made for sensitive skin and first-time retinol users. Good Defense Daily Sunscreen SPF 50 is a gel-cream with a dewy finish, and I would use it on days you skip the tint.

What I would skip: layering the tint over a retinol serum you applied minutes ago. Use the retinol at night and keep mornings for moisturizer and SPF.

Eight Other Tints and Tinted Moisturizers

These are the nearest comparisons, and they split by finish. For a glow, Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint Foundation says it boosts moisture levels by up to 52 percent, and NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer brings vitamin C and SPF 30 with a radiant finish. Saie makes a dewy tinted moisturizer with 15 percent zinc oxide and SPF 35. MILK MAKEUP Hydro Grip is a hydrating gel tint with hyaluronic acid and buildable light-to-medium coverage.

For sun protection, Supergoop Protec(tint) is a light-coverage SPF 50 tint with ectoin and a natural finish. Tower 28 Beauty SunnyDays is a mineral zinc SPF 30 tint that the brand positions for problem-prone or sensitive skin, so it is the one I would look at first if breakouts are your concern.

Two stand out on finish. Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint uses a few drops of a QuickBlur complex to soften pores, with light, buildable coverage. Laura Mercier Tinted Blur Balm is a balm-to-powder tint in a small compact, matte and light, which makes it the odd one out in this grid.

Allure gave awards to three of these: Supergoop in 2025, Hourglass in 2023 and Saie in 2021, according to the product listings.

What I would skip: the matte Laura Mercier balm if your skin runs very dry. Go for Hourglass, NARS or Saie instead.

Light Coverage Is a Choice

I think the Versed skin tint is the one to try if you already like the brand's skincare and want one more thing in the same family. The comparison grid is there for finish: dewy, matte, blurry or mineral. Pick by how your skin feels at 3 p.m. rather than by shade swatches alone, and take the tint to a window before you decide, because indoor light flatters everything. Blend down the jaw so there is no line where the color stops. If you want a little more, a dab of concealer beats a second layer of tint. If you want to keep browsing, I also put together ICONIC London Makeup and Kylie Skin Tint, From a Sold-Out Lip Kit to a 24-Shade Blurring Elixir.
