Weekend Getaway: Charleston

A Charleston weekend wardrobe of pastel minis, florals, cardigans and wedges. Easy to pack and dressy enough for dinner on the peninsula.

Charleston in spring runs on pastels, linen and a pair of shoes you can walk cobblestones in. I pack for it like this: one soft mini dress for dinner, a cardigan for the breeze off the harbor and a bag that fits a phone and a lipstick.

 

For the dress, SIR.'s puff sleeve linen mini and the Little Lies knit mini both feel right for a long lunch, and MAJORELLE's Luna and Genie minis in pale pink are the ones I would wear to a garden party. Throw LoveShackFancy's Ismeria cardigan or the Fait Par Foutch Edith over any of them when the evening cools down. Then go for a cork or raffia heel, like the RAYE Mille wedge, because a stiletto and old brick streets do not get along. Finish with Cult Gaia's Lola shoulder bag and a pair of small sunglasses and you are done.
