eliou Jewelry and Necklaces

Cristina Mantilla and Duda Teixeira founded eliou in Miami, working with family and artisans in Brazil to make jewelry from natural materials like shells, ceramic beads and pearls. Each piece is handcrafted, which gives the collection a loose, collected-over-time feeling. This edit walks through the necklaces first, then the earrings, rings and extras that follow the same coastal spirit.

Necklaces

I keep coming back to how physical these necklaces feel, with leather cord, sterling silver, shells and pearls knotted and wrapped by hand. Mantilla and Teixeira build them with relatives and artisans in Brazil, and it shows in the slightly imperfect, deeply personal shapes.

Earrings, rings and more

The earrings, rings, anklets and a crochet poncho sit around the necklaces like a small beach collection. Lapis, cubic zirconia and gold plating bring in a bit of sparkle without losing the handmade feel.

Jewelry that looks found

The best compliment I can give eliou is that none of it looks bought in a single afternoon. Stack a few necklaces and let them argue.
