Cosmic Kylie Jenner Perfume: The Range and Mood Stones

Cosmic Kylie Jenner Perfume: The Range and Mood Stones

Cosmic Kylie Jenner is the original Kylie Cosmetics perfume, the bottle the rest of the fragrance range grew out of. I go through the Intense and 2.0 versions and the Mood Stones, then other celebrity fragrances worth a spray.

Kylie Cosmetics: From Lip Kit to Fragrance

On November 30, 2015, Kylie Jenner put three lip kits online, and CNBC reports they sold out immediately and crashed the site. Fewer than a year later the little launch had become Kylie Cosmetics. A perfume was a long way off. The next restock was the only plan anyone could see.

I find that history useful when I look at the fragrance. The business was built on scarcity, on a product that vanished in minutes. Coty announced in November 2019 that it would buy 51 percent of the beauty line, and Jenner's own team kept creative direction. The first Kylie Jenner perfume, Cosmic, launched on March 7, 2024, and Cosmic asks for the opposite of that frenzy. It is a scent meant to be worn every day. Fragrantica lists star jasmine and blood orange on top, golden amber and red peony in the heart, and vanilla musk with cedarwood underneath, and one review called it an inviting, people-pleasing amber floral. I would call that a feature.

The trick is to read the first grid as a family, not a random list. Cosmic Kylie Jenner is the original. The 2.0 followed in 2025, and the Intense arrived in January 2026 with benzoin and vanilla, the brand's own ambery gourmand. Then come the three Mood Stones from July 2026: Velvet Brew, Blush Wood and Cashmere Muse. The Hair and Body Mist is the easy daily spray, and the Mood Stones Discovery Set lets you try before you commit to one.

Kylie Cosmetics lip glosses and lip care

Here is a rule for lip products: decide the finish before the shade. Wet, cushiony or tinted, that choice matters more than the colour on the tube.

Kylie Cosmetics is where all of this began, so it deserves its own shelf. Lip Butter and Tinted Butter Balm are the soft, comfortable ones, good for a desk drawer. Supple Kiss Lip Glaze, High Gloss and Gloss Drip are the shiny end of the range, and Plumping Gloss is the one for anyone who likes to feel a little something on their lips. Lip Oil sits between the two camps, and the Transformative Lip Tint is the stain option for a face with no other makeup.

A pairing I like: a butter or an oil underneath, and a glaze over the centre of the lip. You get a soft base and a bright highlight, and you do not have to reapply as often. Then a vanilla or amber scent, like Cosmic, on the wrists. The whole look is soft and warm, and it hangs together.

What I would skip: a plumping gloss right before a dinner or a long conversation. The tingle is distracting, and it reminds you of the product every few seconds.

Perfumes from Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish

Start with the mood, not the singer. Ask what you want to smell like at four in the afternoon, then pick the bottle that answers, not the poster.

Ariana Grande's shelf is soft and sweet. Cloud Pink and MOD Blush are the light ones. LOVENOTES Plush Vanilla is the cosy one, and LOVENOTES Pink Woods brings a touch of wood to the sweetness, which I like for a more grown-up version of the same idea. Billie Eilish goes the other way. Eilish Eau de Parfum with Vanilla and Musk is the skin-close one, Eilish No. 2 has a woodsy floral character, and No. 3 is the next chapter in the trio. The Eilish Fragrance Mist is the easy way in, since a mist forgives a wrong guess.

A pairing I like: the Eilish mist in the morning and an Ariana eau de parfum in the evening. One is a quiet start, the other a sweeter finish, and neither fights with the other.

What I would skip: layering two sweet perfumes at once before you know how each one wears alone. Try one on each wrist first and compare.

Try this: wear a new perfume on a plain Tuesday, not on a special night. If it still feels good when nothing is happening, it is a keeper.

Fenty Beauty's Fenty Eau de Parfum is the one from this group I would put on a shelf, and The Mista Hair + Body Fragrance Mist is the lighter, everyday sibling. Rare Beauty has an eau de parfum and a body and hair mist here. Rare, with vanilla and caramel, is the sweet one, and the Find Comfort: Feel Seen mist, made with niacinamide, is the lighter way to wear the brand, on hair as well as skin. The Sweet Marshmallow Fragrance Layering Balm is the fun extra, a scent you can put on with your fingers. Ariana Grande returns with MOD Vanilla, Sweet Like Candy and Cloud Aurora, all close to the sugary side of the family.

A pairing I like: the Rare balm on the pulse points and the eau de parfum over it, since the balm gives the spray something to hold on to. Then keep your other layers unscented so nothing competes.

What I would skip: sweet, sugary scents on a hot commute. Heat pushes them forward, and you will smell like dessert on the train.

Cosmic first, then the stones

I think Kylie Jenner perfume makes the most sense when you start with the original. Cosmic is the bottle the rest of the range grew out of, and it is the easiest one to like on the first day. If you want a deeper version, the Intense is next, and the Mood Stones are for later.

Wear it on a plain Tuesday and see if it still holds up. The lip kits sold out in minutes in 2015. A good perfume does the opposite: it is still around at the end of the day. If you want to keep browsing, I also put together Amazing Grace Perfume Smells Like a Clean Shirt and a Good Mood and Ariana Grande Cloud Perfume and Other Creamy Vanilla Scents.
