LOOPS Skincare Masks: Masks for a Reset

LOOPS Skincare Masks: Masks for a Reset

LOOPS is the 2020 skincare label that turned the face mask into a small moment, with packaging that looks closer to streetwear than a spa. I like a brand that asks for ten minutes instead of a whole routine.

How LOOPS made the face mask a moment

I did not think a hydrogel mask could have a personality, and then I looked at LOOPS. It launched in 2020 as the first consumer brand from Syllable, developed with the content production house Shots Studio, and it came with the visual language and packaging energy of streetwear. The original idea was simple: a mask for a particular part of the day, with a name and a formula aimed at that moment.

Even the name is a small joke on the routine. It points to the roughly 10 minutes the masks are meant to be worn, and the first line was biodegradable and compostable hydrogel. Emily Ratajkowski joined as partner and creative director in 2020, and Camila Mendes followed in 2022.

I like the through line: skincare framed as a small moment instead of a long routine.

Skincare for the moment you are in

LOOPS began with the mask, and this mixed set shows the same moment-based idea stretching into a routine. The Weekly Reset Face Mask 5 Pack and Double Take Mask 5 Pack keep the original hydrogel format front and center. The Hyper Smooth Dark Spot Face Mask 5 Pack and Hyper Eyes Dark Circles Eye Mask Sets 5 Pack narrow the focus to one area. The Milky Cleanser, Exfoliating Toner and Peptide Serum make a simple sequence, and the Dew Cloud Ultra Hydrating Lip Mask is the small extra.

Picture a bag packed for late nights and early mornings. The Variety Loop Mask 5 Pack covers the mask moods, while the Dream Sleep Slugging Mask 5 Pack and Night Shift Hydrating Mouth Tape Mask 10 Pack live closer to bedtime.

I would start with one concern-specific mask or the Glow Gang Set, then notice what I actually reach for. What I would skip is trying all of it at once, because this works best as a few useful rituals.

Small rituals, bright packaging

The masks first caught my eye through their color and graphic packaging, then made sense through their specific, time-bound uses. Since 2020, LOOPS has added more skincare formats and brought creative partners into the business. The label feels clearest when a product answers one particular moment instead of promising a complete overhaul. I would pick a mask for one need, keep the other steps short, and let the packaging be a bonus. Although I admit the packaging is how it got me. I went deeper on a related idea in Face Masks Skincare Fans Keep Coming Back To.
