Louis Abel Jewelry and Earrings

Louis Abel Jewelry and Earrings

Louis Abel is a Swedish jewelry label from founder Jimmy Kamhieh Loutfi, a former mechanical engineer who works from an atelier on the outskirts of Borås where pieces are cast and hand finished. Its design language is known for irregular curves, imperfect textures and asymmetrical shapes, mostly in recycled sterling silver and 18k gold vermeil. This edit gathers its pendants, earrings, rings and bracelets.

Collage of rings, earrings and layered necklaces worn up close, in the spirit of Louis Abel

Pendants and chains

The necklaces are the quietest pieces and the most unusual. Slim silver pendants shaped like eyes, spoons, spirals and small faces hang from long cords and chains. Louis Abel works in imperfect textures on purpose, so each pendant feels like a small found object. Wear one long pendant against a black top and nothing else.

Earrings

Silver tiles with an eye, round spirals in gold and silver, tiny spoon drops and a face shaped ear cuff. The designs come from Jimmy Kamhieh Loutfi's engineering background and his interest in balancing organic forms with mechanical structure. I would wear one pair and keep the other ear bare.

Rings and bracelets

A signet like band with a small face, a spiral ring, a wavy gold ring and a fine link bracelet complete the set. They are made to be stacked in the same way the brand's other pieces are meant to mix. Wear the spiral and the wavy ring together.

How I would wear it

Pick one pendant and one pair of earrings and keep the combination for a season. Louis Abel is for people who like jewelry that looks as if it came from a studio and a workshop, because it did.
