Pink and camel are the softest pairing on this list, a warm neutral that makes pink look polished instead of sweet. These four looks pair a pink cashmere cardigan with camel trousers, a camel draped top with a feather-trimmed pink mini, and a camel felt jacket over a pink knit vest. Start with one piece of each and work up from there.
Pink and Camel Outfits to Try This Fall

For 2016, Pantone did something it had never done before and named two colors of the year at once: Rose Quartz, a soft pink, and Serenity, a pale blue. It was the first time the color of the year was a blend. Rose Quartz is the pink I keep coming back to, but for fall I would swap the blue for camel.
Camel is what makes pink grown-up. On its own, pale pink can look like a ballet slipper. Next to camel, it looks warm and considered, like a good coat with a pretty sweater underneath. The two share a warmth that makes them blend instead of clash.
A quick test: put a pink sweater on under a camel coat. If the pink looks soft and rosy rather than candy, you have found your pink.

Start With One Piece of Each
This pairing is easy to start with accessories. Toteme's satin clutch is pastel pink, and Christian Louboutin's Cassiastic 100 pumps are blush satin with a ballet-style strap. For camel, Gabriela Hearst's Luke 90 ankle boots are beige suede with a Chelsea shape, and Amanu's Tugela belt is tan suede with a gold buckle. Wear the camel boots with jeans and add the pink clutch, and you are already there.
A Pink Cardigan, Camel Trousers
Guest in Residence's Grizzly cardigan is a fluffy pink cashmere with small buttons down the front, and Purdey's slim-leg twill pants are a clean camel. The soft knit and sharp trouser make a good pair. Tod's Gommino loafers are sand suede lined in shearling, and Jia Jia's opal necklace is a strand of small pink stones.
How to wear it: button the cardigan up and wear it as a top, tucked into the trousers at the front.
A Camel Top, a Pink Skirt
Kallmeyer's Floriana blouse is sleeveless camel jersey draped at one side, and Valentino Garavani's mini skirt is pink crepe with a feather trim at the hem. The skirt is the fun part, so the top stays plain. Bottega Veneta's Rosa ballet flats are pink woven Intrecciato leather, and Yves Salomon's leather and shearling scarf is beige with a fluffy edge.
The Pink Dress, a Camel Shearling Jacket
Rebecca Vallance's Petalite mini dress is pink poplin with a knotted bow at the front and broderie anglaise at the hem. Blazé Milano's Tatoosh shearling jacket is camel with a cream collar, and it makes a party dress work on a cold day. Burberry's suede ankle boots are tan with a shearling trim, and Jennifer Behr's Kauai earrings are pink seashells on gold.
What I would skip: pink tights. With a pink dress and pink earrings, bare legs or sheer tights let the camel do its job.
A Pink Vest Under a Camel Jacket
Tove's Eton jacket is a camel wool and cashmere felt with pockets at the front, and Sea's Winslow wide-leg pants are camel cotton, so the outfit reads camel from top to bottom. Carolina Herrera's ribbed vest is a pale pink knit that shows at the neck and when the jacket is open. Jimmy Choo's suede mules are tan with a shearling lining, a cozy finish.
Keep the Pink Soft
Pink and camel work because camel takes the sugar out of pink. Choose soft, dusty pinks rather than hot ones, and camels that lean golden. Let camel take the coat, trousers and shoes, and let pink be the sweater or the skirt. If you only try one look, start with the pink cardigan and camel trousers.
