Sephora Black Friday 2026: Gift Sets to Buy Early and Tools Worth the Wait

Sephora Black Friday 2026: Gift Sets to Buy Early and Tools Worth the Wait

Black Friday falls on November 27 this year, and this Sephora Black Friday edit covers makeup sets, skincare minis, fragrance duos, hair tools and lip and cheek bestsellers, with what last year's sale looked like. I would buy a few of these now and wait on the rest.

What Sephora ran last Black Friday

Sephora was founded in France by Dominique Mandonnaud in 1970, and it is owned by LVMH. The first US store opened in New York's SoHo in 1998. Sephora Black Friday is a stretch of days, not one. In 2025 the retailer ran a Cyber Week sale through Thursday, December 4, with up to 50% off and 50% off select gifts starting on Thanksgiving Day. In 2024 the Black Friday sale began on Friday, November 29, and carried on through the weekend, with 30% off select brands daily and up to 50% off across the week. If you want to keep going, Aritzia Black Friday Sale 2026: Plan for the Super Puff is the one I would read next.

The bigger story is the loyalty program, because it sets your discount. Beauty Insider launched in 2007, VIB arrived in 2009, and Rouge in 2013. The 2025 Holiday Savings Event, which came before Black Friday, gave Rouge 20%, VIB 15% and Insider 10%, plus 30% off Sephora Collection for every tier. Black Friday 2026 lands on Friday, November 27, and Cyber Monday on November 30. I will not guess this year's dates or percents. If 2026 follows last year, a tier event comes first.

Gift sets are where I would look first, because they are what a holiday sale is built around. Rare Beauty's Hope Faves set puts one shade across cheeks and lips, and Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk Everyday Icons set does the same trick with a glow stick and lip color. Fenty's Glossy Posse IX is all lip, with three new Gloss Bomb shades. The Dior Diorshow duo pairs Overblack mascara with a lash primer, and the Saie Mini Dew Blush Trio is the easy one to hand to a friend who likes a wash of color. The Sephora Favorites Makeup Experts set packs 13 products into one bag. I also put together Beauty Advent Calendars and Gift Sets to Open Early.

My tip: pick the person first, then the set, and check that it holds products you would buy on their own.

Skincare sets and travel minis

Skincare sets are where a sale tends to tempt people into buying things they will not finish. Minis are the safer way in, and several of these are exactly that. Glow Recipe's Glowtinis is a mini Korean skincare routine, and the Watermelon Glow Essentials set gives you the four-step version with niacinamide for uneven tone. Laneige's Daily Hydration Minis is a cleanser, a milky toner mist and a cream in a travel kit.

The Drunk Elephant Littles 8.0 is a sampler of the brand's cleanse, exfoliate, brighten, firm and hydrate steps. Tatcha's Discovery Ritual adds a lip treatment and eye cream to the usual cleanser, moisturizer and serum. Summer Fridays' Jet Lag set is four hydration minis made for flights, which makes it a sensible holiday travel bag. Kiehl's Destination Radiant puts a cream, a barrier cleanser and an SPF 50+ serum in one box.

The test I would run on any skincare set: read the label for the step you actually use daily. If it is the moisturizer, the set is worth waiting for. If a set is mostly cleansers and masks, skip the rush.

What I would skip: a set with an active you have never tried on your own face. Buy the mini first, and leave the full-size version for the next sale.

Fenty's Quench Kit is a toner, mask and lip oil, and it comes with a free mini backpack. That is a limited-edition item, so I would buy it now rather than wait.

Fragrance gift sets and mini duos

Fragrance is the category where a set makes the most sense, because a full bottle is a big commitment. A mini duo lets you wear a scent through a full winter before you decide. Rare Beauty's Rare Eau de Parfum set is built around caramel, vanilla and sandalwood, a warm gourmand that suits cold weather.

Sol de Janeiro's Spritz & Sol is five bestselling perfume mists at 1 oz each. Ariana Grande's Cloud pairs juicy pear, crème de coconut and musks. KAYALI's Marshmallow Candy duo is the sweetest option here, and the Jo Malone London pair of Vanilla Scotch and Ginger Biscuit colognes is a quieter version of the same warm idea. Yves Saint Laurent's Libre mini duo sets the original Libre next to the Intense version, which makes comparing them easy. Burberry's Mini Her and Goddess duo is a way to try two of its scents for her.

Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet is a larger set: a 1.7 oz eau de parfum with a body milk. It is a limited-edition holiday set, so I would watch it closely and not leave it until the last sale day.

The test: spray one on your wrist, walk around for an hour, and check it again at the end of the day. A scent can read differently by evening.

What I would skip: any set where you only like one of the two scents. A duo is only a deal if you would wear both.

Hair dryers, stylers and repair sets

Hair tools are the items most people actually mean when they say they are waiting for Black Friday. The Dyson Supersonic Nural comes in Ceramic Pink and adds intelligence to the dryer, and the Airwrap ID can curl through the MyDyson app by Bluetooth. Shark's FlexStyle is a dryer that converts to a multi-styler, so it covers more ground in one box. I went deeper on a related idea in Reformation Black Friday 2026: Coats to Buy Early, Denim and Tops to Wait On.

A tool is a bigger decision than a set of minis, so I would plan it. Watch it for a few weeks and see how often it moves. Check which attachments are in the box, because that is where the versions differ. A Dyson set with the wrong barrels for your hair type is a poor trade.

The repair sets are a gentler choice. Olaplex has two here: the Healthy Hair discovery set with shampoo, conditioner and oil, and the Total Hair Repair set with full-size shampoo and conditioner. amika's Kurated Strength set is a three-step routine for dry hair, and Moroccanoil's Overnight Leave-in Mask kit comes in travel sizes. Gisou's Honey Gloss set has a full-size mask with minis of the shampoo, conditioner and oil.

What I would skip: a repair set if your hair is healthy. Spend the effort on the dryer instead, and keep the routine you have.

Lip glosses, balms and liquid blushes

Lip and cheek bestsellers are small, easy to gift, and the shade you want is the first to go. Rare Beauty's Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Adore is a weightless liquid blush that is made to last up to 12 hours, and a dot goes a long way. Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Beauty Blush Wand in Pillow Talk is a dot-and-blend wand for a fresh flush.

For the lips, Fenty's Gloss Bomb in the brown shade Hot Chocolit is a shine-first gloss, and Dior's Lip Glow Oil in 113 Icy Rosy is a mirror-shine oil that comes in 16 shades. Glow Recipe's Glass Balm in Fig Bingsoo is a hyaluronic-microsphere treatment built for shine. Summer Fridays' Lip Butter Balm in Strawberry Soft Serve and Sol de Janeiro's Brazilian Kiss Cupuaçu Lip Butter are the soft, buttery ones, and Laneige's Lip Sleeping Mask in Gingerbread is the one you leave on overnight.

October is the right month for lip care, because cold air arrives before the sale does. I would buy the balm or sleeping mask now and wait on the gloss shades.

The test for any lip product: swipe it on the back of your hand, rub the spot, and see if it stays. A good gloss should not feel sticky.

What I would skip: a shade you cannot try. If you are unsure, stick with a shade close to one you already wear.

How I would not overpay in November

Black Friday is November 27, and Cyber Monday is November 30. Everything else about the sale is unannounced, so I would treat last year as a guide and nothing more. Watch the price of the one or two items you want over the next few weeks, so you know what a real discount looks like.

Then check the code. Last year's event used the code EVERYTHING, and in 2024 it was SAVINGS, so a code is part of how the tier discount works. Check whether it stacks before you build a cart, and look at resale for the same piece if it is a set from a sold-out run. Save anything here in Phia and it will ping you when the price drops, and it tests the codes at checkout for you (Chrome, iPhone).

I would do it in that order: watch, code, then buy. Sephora has been around since 1970, and I would rather buy slowly than fast.
