Dinnerwear is the outfit you put on when you want to look like you tried a little, not a lot. I keep it dark and quiet, with one piece that has some drape or texture. A blazer dress from The Frankie Shop with tights and boots does it in one step, and the Arcina Ori halter maxi in a soft taupe is what I would wear to a long dinner with friends.

For something looser, Matteau's fluid pants and a RENGGLI cowl top read polished and stay comfortable through dessert. When it gets cold, I throw a Helsa blanket coat or a long wool coat from Favorite Daughter over everything. Finish with flat mesh ballerinas or a clear heel and you are set for the table.
