Deep teal and chocolate brown is the pairing I can't stop saving. Teal and turquoise pieces, chocolate knits and suede, and turquoise jewelry to tie it together.
Teal and Chocolate Brown Outfits

Some color pairings make sense on paper. Teal and chocolate brown makes sense in your stomach. It's the color of a velvet armchair next to a wooden bookcase, or a peacock feather resting on a brown leather notebook. Cool and warm, deep and deeper. I have saved more pictures of this combination than I would like to admit.
It works because both colors are dark and saturated, so neither one bullies the other. Teal brings the brightness and brown makes it feel grown-up. Swap the brown for black and the teal turns harsh. Swap it for navy and the whole thing goes muddy.
Start with one teal piece. The Éterne Francis sweater is a deep petrol cashmere crewneck at $375, and it's the easiest entry point here. Wear it with brown cords and you're done. Simkhai's Juna skirt is a draped jersey midi in a teal so dark it's almost ink. For evening, Cult Gaia's Evelis dress is made of teal panels that look like a tiled pool. And if you want the color only as an accent, Tom Ford's Kara suede shoulder bag is a deep forest teal with a gold T.

Brown is the quiet partner, so it has to be good. Look for chocolate rather than tan, something with a little red in it, like coffee beans or dark cocoa. Tan next to teal looks like a safari. Chocolate looks like a plan.
Khaite's Margaux sweater in Coffee is the piece I'd build around. The Joseph Coleman pants are paneled suede, slim and a little rock and roll. Ssstein's corduroy wide-legs are the weekend version, and Simkhai's Surabhi blazer handles the office. If you want brown on top and teal below, Cult Gaia's Wake knit top in Java is a halter that would look great with the Juna skirt.
Texture matters more than usual here. Suede, cord and cashmere make brown look rich. Flat polyester makes it look like a uniform.
An easy outfit to copy: the Margaux sweater, the Juna skirt and brown suede boots. Or flip it with the Francis sweater, the Ssstein cords and a brown belt. Neither needs jewelry, but a turquoise ring wouldn't hurt.

Turquoise jewelry is the shortcut. If you don't want to buy a single teal garment, a turquoise stone against a chocolate sweater tells the whole story in one small hit.
Pair turquoise with gold rather than silver, since gold warms the stone and talks to the brown. Jia Jia's Jumbo Heishi bracelet is chunky and a little bohemian. Sydney Evan's necklace is a fine, quiet chain with a turquoise and diamond charm. Roxanne Assoulin's Stone Mini Heart earrings are $120 and a lot of fun. Paola Sighinolfi's Kabala ring sets turquoise in gold-plated pewter and looks more like a small sculpture than a trinket.
Keep it to one turquoise focal point per outfit. Earrings or a necklace, not both, unless you're dressing for a desert vacation.
And don't worry about matching the teal in your clothes exactly. Turquoise is lighter and greener, and that small difference makes the pairing look collected over time rather than bought as a set.

Our honest take
This pairing rewards what you already own. Most of us have something chocolate brown in the closet, a sweater or boots or a bag. Before buying anything, pull that out and hold it next to anything teal you have. You might only need one new piece.
What I'd skip: pastel mint in place of teal, which turns the pairing sweet and summery. I'd also skip a teal coat unless you're very sure, because it becomes the only thing anyone remembers you wearing.
If you take one thing away, it's this: go deep on both colors. Petrol, peacock or ink on the teal side, cocoa or coffee on the brown side. Keep the shades dark and the textures rich, add one turquoise stone set in gold, and the outfit feels finished without looking like you tried too hard.
