Australian footwear has a distinct look that rarely gets named: high, glossy and unbothered. tony bianco has been making it since 1968 and the current range is all satin and nappa. This edit runs through the heels available.

Tony Bianco Makes Australian Footwear With A Going Out Brief
The Australian Evening Shoe
There is a recognisable Australian approach to occasion footwear, built around a very high heel, a clean line and a finish that photographs under artificial light, and it comes from a market where summer events run year-round. This label has been working that seam since 1968, which makes it considerably older than most of the brands it competes with. The satin-heavy current range is the clearest expression of it. What it is not is the European evening shoe, which prioritises the last and the arch over the surface.
Satin, Nappa And The Rest
Stassie appears in black, choc and ivory satin, which makes it the core style and the most flexible across occasions. Kima in black and choc satin is the second satin family and the more structured shape. Model in black nappa is the only nappa leather piece among these tony bianco options and the most everyday. Whimsy in white smooth is the cleanest finish here and the most bridal-adjacent. Mimzy in choc netta is the most textural and the most unusual material in the group.

Our honest take
Satin is the least forgiving upper material there is: it marks from water, from a fingernail, and from anything abrasive, and none of it comes out. These are indoor evening shoes and treating them otherwise ends badly on the first wear. Nappa is soft and comfortable immediately and scuffs almost as easily. Very high heels without a platform put all the load on the ball of the foot, so check whether there is any platform before committing to a long event. White satin yellows over time even unworn. If you take one thing away, buy satin for a single occasion and nappa if you want to wear them more than twice. If you want to keep browsing, I also put together Tony Bianco Heels Are Built For A Long Night and Tony Bianco Loafers.
