ARAKII is the Stockholm label that came out of a stylist's own wardrobe gaps rather than a design house pipeline. Hanna Schonberg spent years as one of Scandinavia's most watched dressers before founding it in the early 2020s and moving the work in house. The result is bold minimalism, which sounds like a contradiction until you see the shoulders.
ARAKII

A stylist who got tired of styling
Schonberg built an audience on the strength of her own taste, then did the harder thing and started making the clothes herself. ARAKII was founded in Stockholm and designed inside her own atelier, which is unusual for a brand that arrived with a ready-made following.
Sculpture over softness
Scandinavian minimalism is usually shorthand for beige and inoffensive. ARAKII takes the restraint and then adds volume, a strong shoulder and a deliberate silhouette, so the clothes hold their shape rather than disappearing into a mood board.
Dresses with a spine
The dresses are where the brand's argument lands hardest. They are simple from a distance and structurally opinionated up close, which is the whole point of the label.
Trousers and the daily uniform
The bottoms are what make the rest of it wearable. This is a wardrobe built for repetition, and the trousers are the part you will reach for without thinking.

Our honest take
The influencer-turned-designer route has produced a lot of merch and very few real brands. ARAKII is one of the few where the clothes would survive without the founder's following.
