Ashna Mehta

Ashna Mehta

Ashna Mehta is a third-generation diamantaire from the Rosy Blue family, one of the largest diamond manufacturers in the world, and she founded her own jewellery brand in 2022. Her signature is Bag Bijoux, diamond charms engineered to clip onto a Birkin or Kelly and convert into pendants, developed with her sister Aria.

Jewelry

Mehta was born in Antwerp in 1996, the diamond capital, into the family behind Rosy Blue and its sixty-year trade legacy. She studied at New York University and has no formal jewellery-school training, which in this industry is a family-apprenticeship story rather than a gap. Her mother, Payal Mehta, is also a jewellery designer.

More Jewelry

In 2022, the year she founded the brand, she designed Nicki Minaj's 54.47-carat diamond Barbie pendant. That piece is now in the collection of the American Museum of Natural History in New York and was shown there in 2024 in Ice Cold, the museum's exhibition of hip-hop jewellery. Not a bad first credit.

Bags

Bag Bijoux started as personalised diamond initials she and Aria made for their own Birkins, and turned into a category. Nita Ambani commissioned an AKVP charm set for her grandchildren's initials, Kylie Jenner has worn one with her Lip Kit logo on a Kelly, and the whole thing went properly viral around the Ambani wedding in 2024. The engineering claim is that they clip on without marking the hardware.

Our honest take

This is a young brand with a real technical idea and unusually deep sourcing behind it. She debuted the Gilded Bloom Haute Bag Bijoux at the Couture show in Las Vegas in June 2026, so the high-jewellery ambition is not theoretical. If you already own the bag, this is the most interesting thing you can hang on it.
