Completedworks

Completedworks

Completedworks turns jewelry and domestic objects into small studies in tension. Anna Jewsbury’s London studio works with sculptural forms, recycled materials and a taste for the strange beauty of things that look almost familiar. The earrings are the entry point, but the vases and glassware keep the story from ending at the jewelry box.

Earrings With A Plot

Completedworks earrings are designed like tiny sculptures that happen to move with the body. Anna Jewsbury founded the brand in 2013 after studying mathematics and philosophy at Oxford, and that mix of precision and creativity still shows in the tension between polished metal, resin, pearls and irregular shapes. Choose the pair that gives the face a little architecture.

Objects For The Body

The necklaces, rings and cuffs extend that language without becoming a matching set. Jewsbury’s studio often starts with a question about proportion or the everyday, then lets the material answer back in a form that is slightly off. Recycled silver, vermeil and stone keep the pieces wearable while the silhouettes do the more interesting work.

The Same Idea, At Home

Completedworks began with jewelry, then grew into ceramics, glassware and other domestic objects. The same studio describes good interior design as human-centered ornament, which is a useful way to think about these vases, bowls and glasses. Let one strange object interrupt an otherwise sensible shelf.

Our honest take

Our honest take is that Completedworks is strongest when you stop trying to make it behave like conventional fine jewelry. The pieces are accessible enough to wear often, but unusual enough to reward a second look, and the home objects make thoughtful companions rather than afterthoughts. If you take one thing away, buy the shape you cannot summarize in a single adjective.
