Astrid Muñoz, a former model turned photographer, built Curatoria in Argentina in 2019 after years spent traveling the country documenting artisan communities and disappearing craft techniques. The label runs on that groundwork: instead of treating heritage textile and leatherwork skills as decoration, it structures whole collections around them, crediting the makers as collaborators rather than suppliers.

Trousers and shorts
Muñoz came to fashion through the back door, first as the face of campaigns, later as the person behind the camera on them, and that outsider's eye shows up in how relaxed these shapes are. There is no fussy tailoring performance here, just trousers and shorts built to move the way the artisans she works with actually work: practically, and without pretense.

Tops and shirting
The tops are where Curatoria's craft partnerships tend to surface most plainly, since shirting is easiest to thread with the ancestral techniques she encountered on her travels through Argentina. Nothing about them reads as costume, which is presumably the point of building a brand around living artisan communities instead of a folkloric idea of them.

Accessories
Accessories are a natural showcase for a brand founded on craftsmanship rather than logo recognition. These pieces do the quieter work of signaling where the label actually comes from, made in partnership with the same Argentine artisan groups Muñoz set out to support when she started the company.
Jackets and blazers
A jacket is a strange place to look for a brand's origin story, but Curatoria's outerwear carries the same ethos as everything else: sourced and made with a specific respect for the hands behind it. Structured pieces get the same artisan-first treatment as the softer ones.
Jewelry
Jewelry sits close to Muñoz's original impulse, since it was watching traditional techniques erode in Argentina that pushed her to build a platform for the people still practicing them. Expect pieces that lean on that craft lineage rather than on precious-stone spectacle.
Skirts
Skirts round out the ready-to-wear side of the edit, continuing the label's habit of letting artisanal construction be the actual design feature instead of an afterthought stitched onto something more conventional. It is a quieter approach than most fashion origin stories, and a more specific one.
More from the collection
The rest of the edit fills in around those core categories with the same artisan-partnership logic, rather than treating extras as filler. Muñoz's insistence on crediting the communities she works with means even the smaller pieces here carry a specific point of origin instead of a generic one.

Our honest take
Curatoria's founder-led, artisan-first story is unusually well documented for a young label, and it shows in the clarity of the assortment. Whether that story travels as far as the clothes remains to be seen, but the intent behind it, at least, checks out.
